Got this in a trade and had in fridge for a while
22oz bottle poured into a glass, it has a murky gold color body with a large fizzy head. The aroma has a strong hop presence with s little malt to it. The taste is hop forward with a yeasty kind of finish. It has a little malt to it to. Mouthfeel is good and over all a good beer.

Poured from bottle into a Jester King goblet.

A: Pours a clear, golden yellow with two fingers of foamy, white head that fades into a nice, cloudy cap.

S: Tart, white wine/grape absolutely dominates, some faint funk, light faint yeast, and nothing else.

T: Barnyard funkiness, lemon, sour white grape, and white wine.

M: Light with subtle carbonation. Quite smooth.

O: This one's okay, but after tasting some of the best of what JK can push out (Nocturnal, Hibernal, etc.), this one kinda just ends up tasting like what the elephant cage at the zoo smells like. Meh.

750 mL bottle at 46F poured into a HF wine glass. Thanks to Wayne17 for this bottle.

A: Pale cloudy straw colored body with thick creamy 2" white head. Fine carbonation. The head holds for 2-3 minutes and is payially revived with swirling. Thick lacing remains on the glass.

S: Classic Belgian earthy/bready nose covers light, crisp European dry hopping and a firm malt backbone. Hints of wild yeast and sour fruit.

T: Fantastic blend of classic saison (straw/y/barnyard funk) and something approaching lambic. Lemony citrus fruit balances tart and earthy/dirt undertones. Hops are muted, but this was bottled in November 2013. Malt blends into the background seamlessly. Tart citrus lingers softly with no unpleasant aftertaste.

M: Good carbonation as a saison should be with no slickness. Medium body. Very approachable without any dominating sharpness to the acidity. Soft finish that begs for another taste.

O: Very impressive offering. I would have liked to try this a bit fresher to taste the dry hop, but it has developed wonderfully and is a lovely example of an American take on a classic Belgian style.
