Poured into tulip from bottle minimal head no lacing. Medium brown in the glass. Chestnut, lactic on the nose. Mild tartness and bitterness, like a mild sour brown. Great beer to slow down the night with. Split 2 of these with my daughter.

Bottled and bottle conditioned
Looks very much the handsome half of mild sat in a handled glass dark brown body and frothing full off white head
Now the aroma gives away it isn't quite the blighty mild
Sour raspberry and chestnut on the nose
The sawdust and dark fruit flavour of English mild is there set against prickling sour farmhouse
It's not heavy but the the strength and style I think my anticipation of the beer has been justified

Phenomenal style mashup. You get that malt body and distinctive English mild flavor with an overlay of barnyard, a tartness that hints of dried cherry and cranberry, and a big wood presence. Would go great with pub type fare.

I have little experience with Jester King, but this certainly piques my interest in finding more. Super low ABV (as everyone else mentions) but plenty of flavor and funk. This bottle from batch #8, perhaps, benefits from sitting since 4/15. Described as an English mild, this is like no other, but does feature cereal grains. Some funky ripe fruit sourness gives it a vinous quality which paces my consumption favorably. Dry, dry, dry with a farmhouse yeasty aroma. Fantastic! Why so many haters!?
