This is a review from the evening of 16 Apr 2011.

Long thin corner bar with phallic like lights dangling the whole length of the bar counter. At the far end from the enterance is a lovely old green tiled radiator (see my avatar for an even better one!). Reindeer heads aplenty up the walls, the place is certainly diferent to anything else in the area, decor wise.

The staff were fine and the beers we ordered arrived as requested, the place was half full on our arrival and filled up quickly, or places snapped up as soon as we rose to leave.

Not a place I'll rush back too, pleasant, but there are so many better places in Berlin in my opinion.

About a 10 min walk from Oranienburger Tor U Bahn station - visited on the afternoon of 28/09/2010.

Corner bar with eclectic decoration of suede wing back chairs, comfy couches and tables. The bar runs most of the length of the single room on the left hand side, with high stool seating all the way along. Beautifully low lit makes a relaxing atmosphere, with cafe del mar-esque music in the background, among the chatter at all the tables.

Selection was very much Baden Wurttemberg, with the full Rothaus range available. Taps included the Rothaus Pils, Lowenbrau Helles, Augustiner Helles, Rothaus HefeWeizen and other couple that escape memory. Bottles included Tannenzapfle, Unertl Dunkelweizen and if memory serves, Schlenkerla Rauchbier. All served in appropriate glassware in excellent condition.

Service was speedy and with a smile too. We were sitting at the bar,so easy enough to attract attention and the young ladies behind the bar even nodded along to my broken German too!

Food wasnt sampled but menu was as expected, southern based and portions looked huge - Schnitzels and Swabian noodles galore!

All in all, this is a lovely cosy comfy pub that would be so easy to let a few hours slip by in the company of friends and good beer, and i reckon pretty good food. I would say a must visit when in Berlin due to its fantastic vibe and gastro delights.
