L: Pours deep dense black with a creamy 1” tan foam cap that dissipates within 1.5 minutes. S: Medium to medium high malt flavors featuring chocolate, roast and grain. Low hop aromas. T: Chocolaty, grainy with a light roast backbone. Medium to medium high malt flavors and low hop flavors. Balance to the malt. No harsh or burnt roast flavors. Achieves a nice balance between the chocolate and roast malts. F: Rich, velvety with medium full body, medium to medium low carbonation. O: A very nice, full bodied drinkable creamy tasting stout.

From the pour I could tell this was going to be a well done stout. Dark coffee brown with a soft, yet big, 3 finger brown cap. Big aromas of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, and some caramel. Flavors of bitter chocolate with hints of coffee and caramel. A nice rich medium mouthfeel that is silky and well carbonated.

This stout is classically made and comes in a six pack of 16oz cans. Just a nice offering from Lucette that I will have others try.

Pours pitch black with a nice, well-retained light brown head. Lacing sticks down the glass.

The smell is of roasted coffee and chocolate.

The taste of chocolate is balanced by roasted coffee (and bit of charcoal and chickory). a hint of licorice comes and goes. It has a roasty, dry finish.

It has a creamy, full body.

A great value here! I bought a 6-pack of pint cans for just under $10. A deliciously smooth, tasty stout! Very enjoyable!

This beer blew me away. For the price point and being sold in 16 oz six pack cans it makes it even better. Despite it's 5.2% ABV it felt thick and creamy. It tasted extremely bold with huge coffee notes and bitter chocolate. I love everything about this beer.

I picked this up during my latest foray into the Midwest, specifically, Madison, Wisconsin & Riley's Wines of the World. They know of The CANQuest (tm) and will do anything and everything to acCANmodate my requests, no matter how bizarre. I love finding new CANs!

From the CAN: "* Craft beer, hand crafted *"; "Friendly With a Glass"; " "Time passes at a constant, much like the changing of the seasons."; "Euphoria and heartbreak[,] jubilation and dispair [sic][,] camaraderie and solitude"; "From our darkest hour to our greatest accomplishments we share a common bond towards one another living for instances of simple enjoyment."; "We made Lucette for each and every one of these moments. [undersigned by the four Cofounders]"

I Crack!ed it open, but rather than using a Slow Hand for the Glug, I went with a heavy hand, creating a pseudo-cascade which settled into two-plus fingers of dense, rocky, light-tan head with moderate retention. Color was Black/Opaque (SRM = 44) with garnet highlights visible only at the edges. Nose smelled mostly of dark chocolate with a light smokiness and nuttiness as remarked upon by previous reviewers. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste had a rich, dark chocolate flavor accompanied by a mild smokiness. It was on the finish that I experienced that peanut-like flavor and I was put in mind of Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl ice cream. It was semi-sweet and while tasty, not really my sort of thing.

Pours an opaque black with almost no head and no lacing... Smells like licorice and dark malts; very pleasant. Tastes almost like a milk stout, with a smooth milky taste with hints of licorice, milk chocolate, and a little bit of earthiness. Mouth feel is very light bodied for a stout with a smooth almost non-carbonated body. Very nice stout, not overwhelming, but got more going on that just a "session" stout.

A- Pours pitch black with a nice thick tan head. Ample lace is present.

S- Big dark chocolate, coffee, cream, roastiness and some nuttiness.

T- Extremely smooth creamy chocolate reminiscent of brownies, espresso and a milk chocolate and cream finish.

M- Smooth as silk great creamy, long finish.

D- I enjoy beers on nitro that don't lose there original characteristics. This beer is a great example of that. The nitro adds a fantastic creaminess to the body.
