Don’t touch me, ’cause I’m electric. And if you drink me, you’ll get SHOCKED! Experience pure uncut lupulin powder. In their clandestine lab, in the wild of Yakima, the crew processed Mosaic + Simcoe hops into alpha acid pow pow. The Melvin posse inhaled deep, and the legend of the Hop Shocker was born.

Pours a slightly hazed amber with 2 fingers of fluffed up pearl colored head. Good head retention & great lacing
S: Breadyness & pine once warm
T: Bready, dry, piney, some tangerine and green melon up front. Sweet orange, breadyness & pine as this warms, a little pineapple as well. Finishes cakey with pineapple & tangerine, green melon, and plenty of pine
MF: Fairly chewy body, slight carbonation that picks up once warm. Nice balance
Thus drank great despite being 5 months old, nose really suffered I'm guessing . This will serve as my place holder review for now. I dream of getting back up Wyoming way soon and checking their beer & food at the source, I still owe my wife a trip up that way for sure ( she wrecked her knee 2 days before we went , my son & I still went )

On-tap in Caldwell ID; served in a snifter.
A: Medium hazed straw bordering on gold; can see my fingers on the other side of the glass; excellent creamy white head laces well.
S: Semi-astringent citrus, grapefruit, mild mango and tropical fruits; pine; peach.
T: Tropical and citrus fruits are definitely at the forefront; grapefruit, tangerine, peach, mango. Light astringency from some alpha oils, leading to a mild piney-ness that plays well with the fruity sweetness.
MF: Present bitterness of the front end; fairly juicy and moderate/mildly bitter and dry on the finish.
O: Really nice hop profile; grows on you for sure. Hoppy, juicy, fruity - good job Melvin.

Taster at Growler Guys. Bright golden, small tight head. Aroma is tangerines, tea, slightly floral. Taste comes in with citrus hops, and some no e dry bitterness that grabs hold of the palate and won't let go. Not quite hazy, but borrowing from the style.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of orange, pineapple and roasted malt. Sweet tropical fruit with caramel and a piney bitterness.

Somewhat hazy golden orange body with a finger of white foam. Dank hops lead an aroma bouquet of orange, grass, pine, grapefruit zest, weed, peach and malt. Taste is pretty much the same but has toast and onion thrown into the dankness and malt interactions. Body is a little thin after the hop barrage of the palate, but satisfies in the finish with hops and crispness.

Another top tier IIPA from these guys, awesome! A very tropical fruit heavy ale, mango and lime mix pleasantly with honeydew melon. The feel come across as juicy and lush, but quickly recedes to a clean, dry mouth feel. Not too sweet, although there is a hint of that wonderful candied fruitcake that delivers through the malts. Perfect balance, exceptional brew that is worth the price

Pours out golden with small sediment floating throughout. Pinky worth of bone white crown. Spotty lacing left throughout.
Nose carries a big dankness to it. A little skunky, a little resin mixing with pine and green onion notes.
The taste brings in that green onion as well. Dank once again. Some pine, slight resin along with a touch of citrus in the back. Caramel malt pops up here and there throughout but never overpowers.
The mouthfeel lingers on dry. Doesn’t carry much of a sticky or syrupy feel, and for the most part is rather thin. Light medium carbonation leaves some air in the throat, but not much. No hop burn, and I like how it’s not syrupy.
Overall, it’s what Melvin does best, make solid IPAs. They’re not chasing the hype, just brewing solid IPAs. I personally love the green onion notes in this.
