750ml brown bottle with a bottled on date.

Clear brassy hue, decent amount of suds which sticks around for a while. Musty yeast, ripe tropical fruit, hint of alcohol, crackers and medicinal phenols in the nose and palate. Earthy tones, stone fruit and peppercorn hits the tastes buds as well, a little bit of body upfront but lands nearly bone dry.

A whole lot of fun to drink as it changes a little sip after sip, quick drinkable as well.

750 ml bottle, bottled on 12/27/13. Pours hazy orange amber with a big meringue like white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet grainy malts, tangy tropical fruit, bubble gum and some piney hops.

The flavor is sweet toasted caramel malts with tropical fruits and a medium grassy funky bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation, slightly watery.

Overall, an interesting fruity funky brett beer.

Funkwerks first 100% brett fermented beer.

Pours a caramel golden with a nice white head. Aroma is a wonderful, gentle blend of hops and funk with some mango, passion fruit, a touch of pine, fruity bubblegum, bread, and some oak. Flavor definitely supports the wonderful aroma with a finish that has gotten drier and drier with added age on it. A crisp, active mouthfeel. Overall, went home with a couple bottles of this one because I enjoyed it so much. The more of it I have drank, the more I have grown to love it. Not an aggressive brett beer and, in fact, I'd probably say the hops are the star. I think this beer is fantastic and probably one of my very favorites I have tried from FW. I could drink this all the time I think. In the same league as Hop Savant, Le Terroir, and Red Swingline.

Update: This one is a lot better fresh than aged. The hops were an integral component to this beer. If I were to have rated this on the more aged bottle I tried, the rating would probably average out closer to a 3.75.
