This 4.2% sessionable sour is truly a product of creativity, ingenuity, and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtlety sweet and tart finish.
Notes of lemon zest and tart raspberries.

(5 oz fat tulip pour at the brewery 17 Sep 4:30p, part of a flight... review copied from notes taken on my phone)
Very, very raspberry, almost 3D-like; real fruit (flavor), just not that sweet... moderately tart and acidic... grainy note in the aftertaste... fruit essence lingers long... good cap retention; misty... light-bodied with a residual foamy film smattering the palate
what I can add from memory: it had a faded pink color to it, bordering on red, looking natural... after a few sips, I still wasn't sure which style this was based on until I read the menu... tempted to, but didn't try their pineapple guava version, but that sounds delightful, now that I'm typing this, hmm (2025)

Excellent raspberry flavor that does shine still through the tartness. Some sours seem to mask their fruits and im glad this ended up being one of the better sours I've had for sure. Good first impression from Funkwerks

12 oz can, best by 3/25/21, into wide mouthed glass.
Beautiful juicy pink lemonade appearance with a creamy pink ring of head.
Aroma is fresh tart raspberries and a little pink lemonade.
Flavor is tart with raspberries, lemon seeds, a little lactic acid, and a touch of vinegar.
Feel is crisp and refreshing. No finish, no alcohol.
Overall, refreshing is the best moniker for this beer. Very tasty too. Not a lights-out write-home-about-it sour, but it is a poster child for sessionable raspberry quaff.
I prefer Odell's Sippin' Pretty for a 4% berliner, otherwise this would be a good backup.

Appearance: Pours cloudy and mauve colored with a pink tinged head that drops from two fingers to one; splashy lacing
Smell: Raspberry lollypop with a hint of tangy wheat
Taste: Tangy wheat is joined by raspberry candy flavors though the sweetness never dominates as lemon-lime tartness checks the flavors in the middle and balances the finish
Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Enjoyable and refreshing; great for summer drinking

A summertime sour classic. Just the right amount of sour, and an excellent crisp body make the perfect background for a really juicy raspberry punch.

A: The beer is hazy whitish pink in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving some delicate lacing covering the surface and a collar of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of raspberries and other berries are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is a bit sour with flavors of raspberries, although these are more like the type of raspberry flavor you get from candies rather than raspberry purée.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and somewhat tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This Berliner Weisse doesn't have the type of creamy, yogurt-like mouthfeel that you normally see in beers of this style. It is very easy to drink.
