Kind of a dull yellow, light gold pour. Big white head as expected from a FW beer
Spicy funk aroma. Barnyard, but a bit more "clean". Ligh cracker and toasted white bread. Esters, flower, a bit of a hop spring.
The spice is more prominant than the malt in the taste. Hoppy spice as well. It hass a funk to it, but the clove, mint, coriander, tropical zest and cracker take the cake.
A bit filmy on the finish with a nice tightness.

Served on-draught into a 330ml snifter at Funkwerks' taproom. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a half finger head of slight cream, fair thickness, and abysmal retention. Colour is a semitransparent dark yellow.
Sm: Fruit esters: passion fruit and lemon. Clean barley. A moderate strength aroma.
T: Lemon, subtle unlayered esters, clean simple barley, and light tame muted malts. Simple, boring build. Decent balance.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Generic and boring. Suits the flavour in a general sense.
Dr: Highly drinkable, but simple and boring. Decently priced at $1.33 per 4 oz.

Pours a hazy straw color with a creamy white head that sticks around and leaves great lacing.
The aroma is of fresh hay, barnyard penetrating grainy, toasty notes with hints of citrus peel, and coriander.
The flavor is of toast with subtle barnyard notes, fresh hay, earthy mushroom, and funky notes of salty sweat. The citrus notes are subtle as well as the funk.
Crisp and sharp, but the funk is much more subtle than expected.
Easy drinking, crisp and refreshing with just enough funky notes to make it interesting.

Draft at the brewpub.
Pours a slightly hazy, light golden yellow color with pale straw yellow hues and a half finger white head that quickly settles into lasting ring. Sporadic lacing.
Slightly earthy aroma smells like brewed w saison yeast. Hints of barn, straw and grass as well as light fruit, pale malt and subtle floral hops.
Light, crisp and very quaffable with a nice balance of earthy funk, floral hops, pale malt and light fruit. Hops more prominent than expected. Hints of apple, pear and lemon.

We took a trip up to Fort Collins last week to hit a few breweries. Sadly quite a few were closed so we hit this one out of necessity; fortunately for us, this one was quite good across the board. Poured a pale yellow color with a big white head. Very crisp and refreshing, this one would be perfect for all day summertime backyard drinkin'.
