750ml bottle, from the brewery, bottled 5/24/13

Viscous carbonation - hazy orange body - pretty silly beer - rice, green tea, peppercorn, bready, floral and grassy. Not sure what to say here - I do not like tea, but yet I still purchased this beer - spicy, medicinal finish and extremely unique. Paired it with some funky cheese.

One of their experimental batch releases; a saison brewed with green, white, and jasmine teas in addition to jasmine rice.

Pours a dark sandy blond with a light brownish hue towards the center and a nice white head. Aroma offers the belgian yeast providing some spiciness and fruitiness, the jasmine rice offers some sweetness and graininess, and the teas offer a earthy component alongside a peppery-ness in the finish. Flavor is sweet, earthy and spicy; the yeast gives off some spice and fruitiness, the malt comes in offering some breadiness, the rice gives off the sweetness and graininess also found in the aroma, and the teas and pepper gives off some earthiness and slight bitterness in the finish. I could do without the rice addition here. A fuller, heavy but active mouthfeel, probably the biggest detraction of this beer and probably stemming from the addition of the rice I assume. Overall, an alright beer but one I didn't care for due to the inclusion of the rice, which detracted from the flavor (for me) and gave it a mouthfeel I wasn't much a fan of. Wouldn't drink this one again unless they brewed it without the rice.
