On tap at Half Pint Pub in Rochester, NY. 6.5% ABV.
This one pours a moderately light brown, fairly clear, with a half inch head, and a good amount of lacing.
This one smells nice and malty, seems like a lot of flavor will be packed in for a lower ABV. There's some caramel and breadiness, maybe a little bit of fruitiness.
This is fairly simple, but still bold and tasty. There's some nice malt sweetness, warm caramel, a bit of raisin, some nice breadiness. Real solid.
This is medium bodied, not too light, not too heavy, with a crisp, bready mouthfeel.
Once again, Naked Dove nails a German style of beer. They'll never be one of the most popular breweries around here, because they don't excel at popular styles like IPAs. However they do more subtle styles really well.

I had this in 2011, but did not have enough standing with BA to add a beer. I had shared this with my friends and within about 20 minutes, 3 growlers were gone -- each friend asking why I didn't bring more.
I remember the beer smelling sweet and tasting slightly of subtle hints of fruit. It would pour with head, but the head would disappear within moments of the pour.
When I have this again, I will write a more complete review.

32oz grumbler split and poured into a snifter. Acquired off the tap at the brewery 2 days ago.
A: Pours a very dark ruby that appears almost black in the glass. A half finger off white head tops this brew leaving a few spots of lacing. Some bubbles visible within the body.
S: A light roasted malt, not very complex. Hints of fruity sweetness as well. Coffee comes through.
T: A roasty and sweet blend of carmel and dark fruits. Raisin and hints of cherry. Moderate flavor that isnt too crazy in any one direction.
M: Light mouthfeel with low carbonation. Was a bit more peppy on tap.
Overall a tasty beer if your into the style. Seems to have improved over the last 2 years a quite deal.

Had this beer as part of my never ending quest to traverse NY state in search of good beer. Place was new and lots of promise here. Love the bock style so decided to go for it. Weird color had some murkiness. Head disappeared quickly. Aroma pure sweetness. Taste was all sugar no hops detected. What happened here? Looking for some redeeming beer now. This one was off the mark and was not pleasurable.
