Huge selection of beer from all over the world. Various shelves with hard to get Canadian beer, but also a number of things from the US. They had some Ale Apothecary stuff, which was pricey but nice to see. Most of the beer was in the fridge, including a wide array of IPAs from Canada and the US. The only knock against them would be the lack of Belgians. Service was great - super friendly staff. Would definitely stop here if you are in Victoria.

A fair walk from downtown, but I ventured here to check it out. Good selection of local and US crafts here but overall there wasn't really anything that I couldn't find at The Strath and I ended up leaving with nothing (having already purchased bottles at the strath the day before).

Compared to the Strath, there were more US beers here, but most of them were fairly standard offerings from the likes of Rogue, Ninkasi, Elysian, Gigantic, etc.

The Belgian variety wasn't as good as Strath and there was no Cantillon to be found.

In a nice neighbourhood. Worth a visit but only if you have the time to make the walk.

Well my first visit to Cook St Liquor will be my last (March 2013 old venue ) , as the parking lot is apparently pay parking and they do mean pay , not even two minutes to have a quick look at the stock and a parking violation was under my wind shield wiper , won't go back , not gonna give them my business , be warned !! , ... fast forward to 2019/2020 , new venue , still tough parking thou , butt more important the beer selection , good/great selection of local , provincial , & international beers (some hard to find) respectable pricing , rewards program (spend/earn) , friendly staff , nice service and added bonus , flower shop attached , kool vibe for Cook St. Village , prost LampertLand

New place opened in Victoria's Cook St. Village, tucked away behind the Serious Coffee. Small store but the beer takes up a whole wall and it's all in coolers. Lots of US micros such as Pelican, Ballast Point and Pretty Things, most of the local options including seasonal releases. A little on the pricey side but that's pretty standard in Victoria if you want the US offerings.

I asked one of the workers about dating on the bottles and she was a little dismissive but assured me that their stock moves pretty quickly. They have Twitter updates which is a nice way to keep track of what comes in.

Great new addition to the city, one of the better stores in the city.
