Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, red session. Aroma has juicy jelly bean like notes and some yogurt. Taste is tart but juicy, sugary, lactic, makes me think of blueberry yogurt.

Pours a hazy light blueberry color. Fizzy head quickly disappears, but a crackling from the carb can be heard. Light does not penetrate the haze. Smells like blueberries, with the scent being detected upon pouring. More blueberry on the flavor, but not a sweet taste, as the style prevents this. Very very mild tartness. Easy drinking, with good carb belching afterwards.

L: Had this beer on-tap at House of Brews, poured into a tulip glass. had a dark amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was a huge, creamy, blue-tinted, long-lasting head. Not much lacing here.

S: A nice aroma of blueberries (of course), citrus, yeast, and malt.

T: Tasted of a small amount of citrus (lemon, which isn't as prominent as in other beers of the style), lots of blueberries, a fairly tart character, some light malt notes, and a yeasty character. A light, effervescent, fruity flavor. Quite sweet and tart, but never off-putting.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a vibrant finish. Light-bodied.

O: This is an interesting take on the Berliner Weisse style. Well worth a try.
