2019 batch.

This one pours a dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

I'm not sure whether or not this has fallen off at all in the ensuing years since release, but all I can see now is that it tastes good. There's almost a s'mores type flavor, or a sort of sticky coconut maple granola type flavor, with a small smattering of vanilla. The base stout is quite chocolatey and rich and creamy. There's a really nice and solid hit of bourbon oak spice and some boozy caramel.

This is medium bodied, with no real booziness, and a nice creamy and rich mouthfeel.

This is perhaps the best beer series that Westbrook puts out, even better than all of the Mexican cakes.

650 mL bottle. Black body. Smells of maple, bourbon, and coconut. Tastes of coconut, maple, tingly bourbon. Sweet chocolate. Vanilla in the finish. Boozy and sweet. Tasty, but very sweet.

Smells like a mild sweet coconut drink. Nice coconut taste - maple isn’t too prevalent just adds a little sweetness. Great body that is thick but not sludgy. Balanced beer that I thoroughly enjoyed on tap at the brewery!

L: Had this beer on-tap at Westbrook's tasting room, poured into a 10 oz. glass. Had a coal black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Not much lacing to speak of.

S: A very good aroma of chocolate, malt, coconut, maple syrup, and booze.

T: Tasted of a decent amount of the advertised coconut (kind of sweet), a good shot of bourbon (and its accompanying barrel), a decent bit of chocolate (always a good thing, some malt (present throughout, but overpowered by the other elements), and some maple syrup. This is a thick, sweet, and complex flavor. Tasty stuff.

F: A below average amount of carbonation with a smooth and silky finish. Medium- to full-bodied.

O: This beer isn't as strong as Westbrook's other stouts, but it's still well made. Drinkable.

Bottle. Tan head. Black color.

Chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, coconut, and maple all blended together well. Nothing dominates creating a nice adjunct stout. Brownie batter. The barrels show more as it warms. Nice oak and bourbon. Warming.

Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin mocha head that fades light wisps.

S - Aromas of fudgy chocolate, light nuttiness. No coconut. Loads of maple as well. The maple and chocolate are pleasant but overpowered everything else.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of sweeter maple syrup. The chocolate is pleasant and once again over powers the coconut. Little marzipan notes as well with more maple as it warms.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy alcohol hidden nicely.

O - Overall this was a very solid stout with excellent maple notes. It hides the almond notes and coconut but it's still really enjoyable.

Light fizzy dark head, not much retention, a little lacing and decent legs, super dark color black almost no light

Nose interesting, some maple, dried maple, toasted malt biscuity little cookie, deep fudge dark cocoa, hint marshmallow, little nutty but not necessarily almond, little earthy vanilla

Taste fairly sweet with big maple syrupy out front, big almond paste, little dark chocolate cocoa, mild raw earthy vanilla, fair vanilla as it warms, dark chocolate, mild nutty but otherwise big almond, candy maple, drier finish

Mouth is fuller bod, decent carb, almost no alcohol, little sticky

Overall pretty nice, great maple balanced nicely, vanilla was decent, almond was mixed

Pours black with an off-white/tannish head. Smells very inviting, with wafts of coconut and maple. The maple flavor hits like a ton of bricks, and stays around for a long time between sips, until a hint of coconut shines through at the very end. While I loved this beer, I do have to knock the overall score a bit, as I really didn't pick up on the other flavors(almonds, coconut, and vanilla beans).
