An ultra refreshing warm weather lager brewed with flaked corn, key lime puree, and lightly dry-hopped with Motueka.

Pours murky golden in the body with a fizzy white head the slowly dies down. This comes across, in the taste especially, like a hybrid between corn lager and lime gose, with a bit of salt even. Smell was gentle with lime and corn with a hint of lager yeast. Higher carb, fizzy but flattened out over time, mild bloating. Went well on the porch on a warm summer day with burger off the grill, but nothing to seek out.

L: Hazy, pale straw body with a frothy white head

S: Lime (real, not artificial like most light lagers), corn

T: Follows the nose. This is what light lagers with lime should taste like.

F: Light, crisp, quenching

O: Well done for the style

Clear pale white gold and nearly headless.

I suppose this is for when their Key Lime Pie Gose sounds too imposing of acidity, because this is a tart lime lager that really edges close to sour territory due to the graphic nature of key lime.

That said, its lager qualities combine with the lime in a way that at times tastes a little like cleaning solution. While it might be a worthy beach beer, KLP is a much more enjoyable option, to my palate.

16 oz can from the Wall of Beer in Clemson SC served in a lager glass.
Appearance. This has a pale golden body with high clarity (at first but hazy by the end of the pour due to suspended sediment) and a decent white head.
Aroma. Reasonably hoppy with a floral note.
Flavor. Fairly clean if uninspired light lager. More citrus here than the aroma suggests.

Beer to Drink When It's Hot Outside
Westbrook Brewery
Date: 12 August 2021
It is not hot outside; it is rather chilly as the autumn air chills Idaho. I poured into a pint glass; the temperature was 42 degrees. A creamy and frothy white two-fingered head was created from the pour. The moderate dissipation left loads of lacing on the glass. The color charts around SRM 2, pale yellow with hues of straw. Of all the light beer I have consumed thus far has one of the best appearances.

I first smell crackers, corn, and light cereal grains. Nosing further into the glass, I detect a hint of floral, herbal, and citrus. The nose is clean yet refined.

Lime flavors and corn are dominating my palate. Working past that, I taste lightly toasted malts, floral, and a hint of minerals.

The mouthfeel is clean, crisp, and refreshing.

The body is light, has medium carbonation, and has a light finish.

An excellent alternative to bud light lime, better flavors, and just as crisp. As far as light beer goes, this one is done well. Stylistically, the beer is accurate; no complaints.

It sure is hot outside so i reckon this is a good bet. Canned 2021/05/24

Pours a med large frothy 1.5 finger head with moderate retention, fair lacing, mostly clear pale to straw color

Nose brings some sweet malt, little cereal grain and corn, nice juicy lime and citrus, good balance

Taste light but flavorful, first up is mild corn and sweet cereal malt, that quickly gives way to a sweet key lime juice with only a little tartness, general citrus, my brain wants to get salt but it never comes and I think that would be a nice addition, mild creamy and soft lager, dry finish

Mouth is med to lighter bod, med fizzy slight prickly carb

Overall Def a nice beer to drink when it's hot, a touch of salt on the back end like a gose would seal the deal

So, had to let this one open up a bit. First couple of rushed glugs and swishes presented a pretty typical light corn lager with significant "limeyness"...think Bud light with lime...not pleasant. But not a fair assessment either. That "corniness" almost disappears, and suddenly it comes across as quite balanced. The lime now doesn't seem an out of place cover for a typical AAL. It is extremely light but not watery. SUPER refreshing. Off the charts drinkability. SUPER crushable.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 5/24/21, so 6-7 weeks old.

Looks good in the glass. Almost crystal clear pale yellow body with good carbonation. Small white head shrinks to a ring and faint covering, only a few wisps of lacing.

Not much of an aroma, just a little lime.

On tasting, well this takes me back to drinking lager & limes in the olde countrye. Very clean, light, refreshing, and just the right level of lime. Nicely balanced.

Mouth just about medium, finish lime.

Overall, clean, refreshing, easy drinking beer. Says it's a corn lager on the can, but there is no corny taste, so that's a plus. Very good light lager.
