1 pint can, dated 10/10/19
Clear, golden, no particulates
One finger's white, rapidly dissipating head, scant lacing
Coconut, pineapple, vanilla, citrus scents
Prominent coconut, light vanilla, grapefruit
Smooth sweet initial feel with some bitterness at the finish
Unusual and grew on me over 16 oz.

Received as an extra in a trade. Canned on 10/10/19.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a slightly hazy golden yellow hue with a thin one finger white head that faded slowly to leave a thin halo and light wispy blanket.

S - Aromas of dank citrus, little juicy orange but decent amount of spicy/earthy Mosaic. The coconut is slightly sweet and almost sun tan lotion like. As it warms it begins to get a little weird; flashing in and out with sweet coconut but tons of almost cardboard like earthiness. I swear it almost smells like wet dog. Really, really strange.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Tons of orange citrus and sweet marmalade. Not much in the way for earthy/spixy Mosaic hops, which is nice, however the coconut here is almost cloyingly sweet. Tastes almost like someone dropped some Malibu Coconut in to a New England IPA.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, decent body.

O - Overall this beer was a bit of a mess. The nose was just...weird and the taste was practically sun tan lotion mixed with a New England IPA. Very unfortunate, I don't believe I have liked a single Westbrook milkshake IPA yet.

Canned 10/10/19.

Fairly pale golden yellow, translucent but not completely opaque. Good spots of lacing with a soft white head of foam.

Lots of pineapple and grassy hops one e nose, with a subtle coconut cream sweetness on the back end. Very good aromatics, but not necessarily as advertised. While I enjoy not being bombarded with coconut, I hoped for just a bit more from this.

Flavors see a bit more balance, with a soft coconut presence complimenting tropical undertones of mango and tangerine. Those grassy hops in the finish that have become so indicative of these Shake IPAs is found on the tail yet again.

Soft, with an effervescent carb and some boozy warmth on the tail. Not much residual stickiness.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Westbrook's tasting room, poured into a taster. Had a bright yellow color and a mostly cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Not much lacing.

S: A sweet aroma of coconut (of course), hops, malt, vanilla, tropical fruit, and citrus fruit.

T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish), a good amount of vanilla, a below average hops presence (oddly underplayed), a lot of coconut (a big factor), a little citrus fruit (orange, in particular), and some tropical fruit (mango). An interesting flavor. It's quite sweet, as you'd expect, but not cloying.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a somewhat slick finish. Light- to medium-bodied.

O: A worthwhile beer. Drinkable.
