The last Rinse and Repeat I tried was Galax that beer was superb. Trying a different variation should produce the same results. I did not let this beer warm up too much; it is around 46 degrees and served in a nonic. The of the beer produced a monster two-fingered head with excellent retention. The frothy white creamy head is airy and foamy. The head dissipated slowly, leaving lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 4 pale straw with amber hues. The beer is hazy, akin to NEIPA. The appearance of the beer is pleasing.

The initial aromas in the beer are oranges, mandarins, lemons, and a hint of grapefruit. A second whiff, I smelled toasted biscuit, bread crust, and toasted malts. Nosing further, I detect straw, dew, grass, a touch of dank, floral esters, bay leaves, and a little musty basement.

The first sip, I tasted bread crust, oranges, lemons, a touch of lime, and floral. In the second swig, I noticed honey-like sweetness, biscuit, straw, and grass. Finally, swirling it around for a minute to absorb the rest of what the beer offers me dew, bay leaves, floral esters, dank basement, and pineapple.

The mouthfeel of the beer is carbonated and a touch astringent.

The body of the beer is medium, medium-plus carbonation, and full finish.

The beer has this pleasant astringency that finishes at the end. I would say this beer is closer to a NEIPA if I was choosing sides. The Citra hops present well with a strong malty backbone. The beer is an excellent example of an IPA. I enjoy Westbrook's offering and look forward to consuming more beer from this brewery when I can.

A lot of people seem to talk smack on sabro and even Citra, but this combination in the hands of a stellar brewer can be masterfully finessed. A lot of pineapple and orange juice with a soft, almost chewy, feel. Really feels like you’re drinking juice. Light yellow gold haze, nice frothy head, done very well. It may be another in a line of replicants but it’s one that’s worth a try

A: Opaque marigold with a good bit of white fluff on top. Lacing is left after the head dissipates.

S: I only get faint aromas of hops and citrus. Then again I don't have the best sense of smell.

T: Super ripe grapefruit, pepper, orange rind. Interesting and refreshing. Alcohol is well-hidden. Bitter grapefruit lingers.

M: Medium-bodied. Smooth with some carb and creaminess.

O: This is a great beer. The hops bring something a little different, which I'm guessing is the Sabro. Great purchase, and will purchase again at some point.

16 oz. can dated 7/14/20

Murky golden tan color. Three fingers of fine white head. Head reduces to cap of varying bubbles with full curtains of lacing.
Grapefruit, pineapple, pine, green pepper, faint funky aromas.
Sour pineapple, grapefruit ,lemon pith, orange, light coconut flavors.
Nice hop bitterness up front, good lasting carbonation, no alcohol warmth, dry finish.
Hop combination works well, a successful addition to this series.
