A 22oz bomber with a bottled on date of 9.25.15

L - Copper, with 1/2 a finger of head, no lacing really

S - Toasted malts, ready, and moderate sweetness. Very light aroma - have to dig deep to get it

T - Sweet, malty, standard German style brew. Ready

F - Thin body, light carbonation (maybe because its over a year old)

O - This one is over a year old so I think its lost some of its crispness, but a good take on the style

From bomber dated 9/25/15. Might have lost a little bit of hop bitterness but still very good. A little on the sweet side but still true to style.

Bottle purchased at Nathaniel Square Corner Store in Rochester, NY. There is very clearly consistency issues with this beer, as expanded on below.

This one pours a murky cherry red. The haze on this beer was unbelievable, and entirely inappropriate for the style. It was almost milky in appearance, and just looked super unappetizing.

Smells like nothing really, a bit of overwrought lager yeast, and some light bready malt.

This is clearly a very bad bottle, and it seems Westbrook had some issues with this beer. It's got sort of a dead yeast flavor. The beer feels lifeless and just wrong, with a bit of a metallic thing going on, too. There is a very flat malt backbone to it, slightly bready, but just not all that expressive.

This is not drinkable, at all, with a lower level of carbonation.

This is wrong on basically every count when it comes to the style. Not recommended.

I may have gotten a bad bottle, color was spot on but mine was very murky. Couldn't come close to seeing through it. Taste was ok -- not my favorite of the style.

Kind of coppery orange color with a white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. Smelled slightly bready and more like caramel. The taste was okay but left me wanting more. It was sweet and had the caramel and yeast notes like in the nose. There was not much else happening here. It seemed a little more bitter than other marzens I have had. It was a decent beer that I enjoyed.

A good bready amber Marzen. I've had it on tap at the brewery and out of the bottle. Not light like many Octoberfests. It has a slight caramel flavor. Definitely one of my fall beers this year.

Great clean Oktoberfest. Very light on malts and hops; along with some caramel and very light earthy flavor that I couldn't figure out. It has a sweet citrus taste that depending on when it is bottled might be different. The bottle I had was bottled on 9/25. The color was an amber color with a great light head on it. I think westbrook did a great job with the beer but, for me, it wont be my go to Oktoberfest. Still a very clean and tasty beer to drink. Cheers

This poured with a great deal of thick froth that lasted throughout. Tastes of grain and malt with a wine like sweetness that seemed to dissipate as it warmed. Touches of maple, pecan, caramel and nut. There is a bit of a metallic flavor that ruins it a bit.
