Golden yellow body with a bit of haze and a small, soapy looking head. Solid patterns of lace on the glass. Snappy, spicy hop aromas...grass, straw, cracked pepper, lemon, and some grain. Grassy, spicy, dry hoppy crispness on the palate. Malts are cracker-like, providing just a little backing sweetness. Aggressive, lively hoppiness, medium bodied, maybe even coming across a little heavy for the style which cuts down on the drinkability a bit, but overall this is a damn fine, zippy take on the style.

On tap at The Macintosh in Charleston.

A: Pours a surprisingly cloudy golden orange. Almost opaque, which is really unusual. Unless this is suppose to be more of a Keller Bier. Anyway, a two finger white head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Hops up font. Floral, grassy, and herbal. Not much is available about the hop profile, but seems like saaz. Which is great. A good balance with bread and biscuit malts. A lingering bitterness, but not over barring at all.
T: Again, plenty of hops. Perfume like even. Grassy, lemon rind, and herbal/floral flavors. Biscuit malt for balance. Very nice.
M/D: A light to medium body. Effervescent, clean, and dry. So easy to drink. All day with this.

An excellent lager, with an odd cloudy/unfiltered look. Which might mean it is suppose to be a different style. Though not bother, a great beer to drink and enjoy.
