Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Bootlegger's pint glass. Bottled 9/2/13, so only a few weeks old. Acquired in a trade. Thanks beerbyrd!

A - Dark golden yellow, on its way to orange. Eggshell head leaves good lacing.

S - Orange, grapefruit, lemon, catpiss. Hops are very fragrant. Has a slight malt hint in the background.

T - Big sweet citrus notes upfront. Grapefruit, orange, lemon. Then you get the bitterness and dry finish. It also has a maltier (than most West Coast IPA) backbone to it, which really balances it out in a nice way. Do not taste the alcohol at all. Its 9.5%.

M - On the fuller side of medium. Very creamy. Medium carbonation.

O - Great beer. Had it last year also and from what I remember, it is every bit as good. If you like really citrusy IPA, with moderate bitterness, this is the ticket.

Bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop thanks to a tip from thatoneguymike. Poured into a tapered rocks glass. Slight haze, orangey amber color with off-white head that held for 30 seconds. Collar holds for a few minutes. Aroma is extremely grapefruit forward, with what I assume is citra/simcoe/cascade. Some spice aromas, a decent amount of tropical type sweetness as well. Taste is also extremely grapefruit forward throughout. Some hop bite in the middle, the spice comes at the end. Grapefruit tart tang holds until the mid-palate. Reminds me of when I was young and used to raid my neighbors' grapefruit trees and split on open to eat. Enjoyable mouthfeel with high carbonation and filled bodied for an IPA.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a two finger sticky head. Good lacing down the glass.

Big grapefruit on the nose. Tons of citrus fruits. Very fresh smelling. Nothing else here other than citrus.

Taste mirrors the nose to an extent. Lots of grapefruit on the front but definitely hits with the bitterness on the back end. A lot more bitterness than I expected really.

Would drink again but nothing to seek out.
