Thanks to dogdoc for sending this bottle! Reviewed from notes. Poured from bomber into an Upland pint glass.

A: Very, very hazy bronze to almost brown, with a couple finger's of white head. I can't see any carbonation bubbles in this murkiness. Not exactly pretty.

S: Grapefruits and oranges, malt sweetness, tropical fruit and melon.

T: Citrus (grapefruit rind and orange), biscuit malts with hints of caramel and toffee sweetness. This isn't particularly bitter at all. Fruity citrus and malt sweetness into the hang, and not much hop bitterness at all for an IIPA.

M: Medium body, relatively low carbonation sensation, and medium alcohol presence.

O: This is a strange DIPA for me. It has a weird lack of bitterness despite all the flavors that suggest a big hop presence. I'm assuming it's the citrus elements that were added into the brew, but it creates a dissonance between my expectations and the perceived flavors. This might be a DIPA that I would hand to someone just getting into the joy of hops. It's not bad, but not my favorite Westbrook beer, for sure.

Bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop thanks to a tip from thatoneguymike. Poured into a tapered rocks glass. Slight haze, orangey amber color with off-white head that held for 30 seconds. Collar holds for a few minutes. Aroma is extremely grapefruit forward, with what I assume is citra/simcoe/cascade. Some spice aromas, a decent amount of tropical type sweetness as well. Taste is also extremely grapefruit forward throughout. Some hop bite in the middle, the spice comes at the end. Grapefruit tart tang holds until the mid-palate. Reminds me of when I was young and used to raid my neighbors' grapefruit trees and split on open to eat. Enjoyable mouthfeel with high carbonation and filled bodied for an IPA.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a two finger sticky head. Good lacing down the glass.

Big grapefruit on the nose. Tons of citrus fruits. Very fresh smelling. Nothing else here other than citrus.

Taste mirrors the nose to an extent. Lots of grapefruit on the front but definitely hits with the bitterness on the back end. A lot more bitterness than I expected really.

Would drink again but nothing to seek out.
