I finally checked out Rustico after wanting to for a couple months. I parked at the mall and walked the block to the restaurant. Pretty fancy looking place over all. Semi dark and not the best decor or atmosphere in my opinion, but beer and food was the main reason I went so who cares that much.

The beer list seems top notch for the area and the prices reflect that. I could have gone the cheaper route of getting a pint $2 off with happy hour, but instead I had some tasters. Taster prices ranging anywhere from $2-8 for what I think is a 4 oz. pour.

I enjoyed stopping by and the burger was pretty damn good but I am in no hurry to go back. I would rather go to Pizza Paridisio or Mad Fox but I do suggest stopping by if in the area looking for some food and beer.

Very nice restaurant and bar. Went for lunch, not too crowded. Food menu was not large, but varied pizza, salads, entrees burgers, etc. The draft menu was awesome. Great selection of locals and other great beers. Very nice ones while i was there like Sump, Hawaiian Speedway, and Bozo. Service was great. I'll be back.

Rustico has been a goto of mine for several years. The food and drink are great. Th draft menu changes almost daily while the food is on a seasonal basis.

The good:

The beer. The tap list consists of locals, nationals, and internationals. It generally follows area distribution i.e. Abraxas hits shelves and a couple weeks later it is on tap.

The Food. Pizza is Rustico's main selling point. Pizza is also subjective - some like NY, others Chi-town. The pizza here is closer to NY in looks but taste wise would be considered gourmet. If pizza isnt your thing, they have entrees and apps as well.

The brunch. Two reasons here, the restaurant is generally empty (you can sit in the bar area) and the brunch menu is great.

Bar area has plenty of tv's.

Neutral
Pricing. The beer "taste" prices seemed to have increased considerably from the beginning of 2015 to the end. No ideas as to why but two flights (of four) can be upwards of $40.

Food portions seemed to have decreased a bit too. Previously you got a mini loaf of bread with the mussels pot, now 4 slices.

Reservations. You cant reserve seating in the bar area. 1st come 1st serve makes people stand overly close to your table while sitting there.

The bad
Its loud in the restaurant area.

Drink (table) service can be a bit slow during peak times. Drink bar service is almost impossible during peak times.

Wild cards
Try sitting at he bar at an off hour - the bar tenders are exceptionally knowledgeable about beer and will give you a small taste of anything on tap.

Look through the bottle menu for pricing deals - previously found BC Regular for $15 and they used to give a discount to take bottles home (no idea if they still do).

Awesome selection of drafts -- didn't even look at the bottles. Great menu layout for selecting just the right style. You can order tasters of each draft too -- recommend doing that and sampling quite a few. Food was very well done. I will be back!

CAUTION: Make sure you ask your bartender the cost of a brew you are considering. I got burned the other day when I selected SoutherTier's Warlock (22oz). I enjoyed the beer, but it wasn't anything fantastic so when I got the bill for $22.75 (yep, TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-FIVE CENTS FOR A BOTTLE) my jaw hit the floor. I won't be going back to Rustico's for a long while after that.
