I was pretty stoked when this place opened within walking distance of my place and I was not disappointed, well thought out draft list and I love that you can order sample sizes so you can try more beer. Food is good, not great. Some pizzas are better than others, the grilled on is not good. Sandwiches are very good and service is good. I’ve sat both in the bar area and the dining area. The servers in the dining area know a little less than those in the bar area about the beer offerings. Huge selection, a little pricey, but hey, that’s Arlington. Definitely worth a go, this will become my go to spot in Arlington, especially since I can walk there.

My favorite stop in Ballston. Great selection with enough rotation to keep it interesting. Very popular so can get pretty crowded at happy-hour... but service always seems to keep up. Food varies from good-to-great. Love the burgers and the 'pick-3' lunchbox... not impressed with the fried chicken sandwich. All in all an excellent stop for a post-work beer (or 2, 3...)

I met up with a few other BAs here for a Thursday Happy hour. It did not disappoint! He place has a pretty large bar, larger communal tables and more intimate searing as well. The staff and management were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I didn't even look at a food menu so no comments on that but the bottle and tap list are what you are going to want to look at. We were there the day after a Alesmith tap takeover, Perfect!

Great place, can't wait to go back!

Outstanding bar/restaurant with large and varied tap list. Giant bottle selection as well. Knowledgeable and attentive bar staff and management. Plenty of seating at bar, and small and large tables to accommodate bigger group. Outdoor seating on sidewalk also. Lively vibe. Open for lunch/dinner but I did not eat either time I was there. But go for the beer - something for everyone!

Very nice restaurant and bar. Went for lunch, not too crowded. Food menu was not large, but varied pizza, salads, entrees burgers, etc. The draft menu was awesome. Great selection of locals and other great beers. Very nice ones while i was there like Sump, Hawaiian Speedway, and Bozo. Service was great. I'll be back.

Rustico has been a goto of mine for several years. The food and drink are great. Th draft menu changes almost daily while the food is on a seasonal basis.

The good:

The beer. The tap list consists of locals, nationals, and internationals. It generally follows area distribution i.e. Abraxas hits shelves and a couple weeks later it is on tap.

The Food. Pizza is Rustico's main selling point. Pizza is also subjective - some like NY, others Chi-town. The pizza here is closer to NY in looks but taste wise would be considered gourmet. If pizza isnt your thing, they have entrees and apps as well.

The brunch. Two reasons here, the restaurant is generally empty (you can sit in the bar area) and the brunch menu is great.

Bar area has plenty of tv's.

Neutral
Pricing. The beer "taste" prices seemed to have increased considerably from the beginning of 2015 to the end. No ideas as to why but two flights (of four) can be upwards of $40.

Food portions seemed to have decreased a bit too. Previously you got a mini loaf of bread with the mussels pot, now 4 slices.

Reservations. You cant reserve seating in the bar area. 1st come 1st serve makes people stand overly close to your table while sitting there.

The bad
Its loud in the restaurant area.

Drink (table) service can be a bit slow during peak times. Drink bar service is almost impossible during peak times.

Wild cards
Try sitting at he bar at an off hour - the bar tenders are exceptionally knowledgeable about beer and will give you a small taste of anything on tap.

Look through the bottle menu for pricing deals - previously found BC Regular for $15 and they used to give a discount to take bottles home (no idea if they still do).

Awesome selection of drafts -- didn't even look at the bottles. Great menu layout for selecting just the right style. You can order tasters of each draft too -- recommend doing that and sampling quite a few. Food was very well done. I will be back!
