Randomly found this place while driving around in the area, so I looked it up and figured it was worth going back to check out. We went during lunch hours, and while it wasn't too busy, it was fairly busy, with most the front patio seats taken. But they also have a back patio that was empty, and we opted for that. Apart from the main bar building, there is also a gift shop with bottles/cans and merch for sale, and an "event center," whatever that's for, and additionally two small play areas for kids.

The beers here were all basic, but also pretty solid overall. I got about 5 or 6 samples, with a coffee stout being my favorite, and the dubbel being my least favorite. So there was a good range of styles, which is always nice to see, as opposed to a small lineup of your typical flagships. The waitress we had was very friendly and always checking up on us, so no issues there. Food was good as well, with some good BBQ options, and a kids' menu.

I wouldn't say this place is necessarily a "destination," but for a random find, I enjoyed it, and I would go back if and when in the area. It's definitely a lot better than Devil's Backbone, that's for sure.

The cover of the book, if you will, looked really cool as we arrived. The brewery has a series of neat buildings and outdoor patios that make it look like its own town. Very unique. Three of us sat at the bar in the back and had a nice variety of beers and food to pick from. The one bartender we had was very nice and helpful. All seemed to be ok and after eating, I politely asked if we could sit at one of the 35+ empty tables outside and enjoy the weather and drink our beer but said we would not need a server. That was not ok apparently. I was given attitude by bar staff and the hostess stand when I politely asked if it was ok. We did not finish our beers and left immediately. I worked in the restaurant business and all ways want to be mindful. I'll never go back there EVER again. Cool brewery but clearly have some problems with their staff. Give the beers a shot, but don't expect much hospitality in house.

Decent locale and nice set up. Wish there was more of an outside bar then just the tables. Free standing gift shop and seperate entertainment shack. Plenty of outdoor table seating and a good sized bar inside.

Had a flight of their main line beers. All were ok-nothing I could get excited about. I did buy a 22 ouncer of their pumpkin beer and really enjoyed that. They did have a nice selection of styles-probably 12 or more on tap.

Service was great the bartender could not have been any nicer and helpful.

I'd go back again for sure-maybe pick up a mixed six pack for further review. Worth stopping to form your own opinion.

Was on Blue Ridge run and had been aiming for Blue Mountain and Devil's Backbone. Not familiar with Wild Wolf but made a stop. Good decision.
Fun lively place that is well laid out. Nice beer options ranging across styles. I aimed for the bigger beers and was pleasantly surprised. Well made and very tasty. Had a decent canning and bottling of many of their beers even a few bombers.
Vibe was great. Had good band and crowd was getting into it. Food selection was good, and quality equally good. NIce gift shop.
People were all very friendly and seemed happy to be there.
Highly recommend a stop here if going to Devil's Backbone ( just a few minutes away).

Nice place, but I would lean toward Blue Mountain (if you want food and a view) or Starr Hill first.

Beers are all OK, but nothing great. Good service. Worth a stop, but don't go too far out of your way.

This brewery has a wonderful location and setup. Several outdoor seating areas and a well laid out indoor restaurant and bar are really nice. The food I've tried was also top notch. I havent been there when they are smoking or grilling on the huge outdoor BBQ pit, but I imagine it's pretty epic.

The biggest gripe I have with these guys is the rather bland beer. They have plenty of taps and seem to have every style of beer on at all times, it's just that not much stands out and makes me wanna drive farther down into Nelson County when I'm passing through.

A few stellar seasonals or one-offs that they announce would even get me to make a special trip up from the Richmond area. With Blue Mountain and Devil's Backbone all together it would really make for a really nice beer outing.

Sprawling hide-a-way brewpub with bottle/merch shop a couple of patio areas and a tasting room with large U-shaped bar that seats about 20. A nice assortment of beers on tap, I liked their stout best. Food was very good and reasonably priced. A great off the beaten track sort of place to grab a bite and a brew.
