Bottle (2013 vintage drank in 2019): Poured a deep cloudy brown color ale with a large medium brown foamy head with excellent retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt, toffee and dry fruits is quite sublime. Taste is a mix of heavy caramelized malt notes with balance residual sugar notes, some dry raisins and plums with some toffee notes and very light oxidation notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with hints of warming alcohol notes. I haven’t drank many English style barleywine that are that well balanced.

One bottle in my cellar I was keeping for a good time!
Vintage 2013
Pours a dark brown liquid with a white head, leaving lacing.
Nose is simply phenomenal, a jam of plums, dates and raisins, am I getting some chocolate, roasted malt as well?
Taste is as delightful as the nose, medium sweetness, roasted, the flavors are exploding in mouth.
What to say about the mouthfeel? It seems like I'm drinking a very high abv beer but I read the label and I see 9.5%! Wow!! Albion, je vous aime!
