Dude walks up and asks if we need help. Didn't get his name. He was awesome. We talked beer for thirty minutes. Gained tons of local knowledge. Also two whales from the "back".
Yay beer!!

This is one of my favorite Whole Foods to buy beer at.  They have a good selection of craft beers.  Ranging from Russian River, Lost Abbey, Bootleggers, Chimay, the Bruery, Stone, Great Divide, and much more.  If you can’t find a beer you want just ask to see if they have it in the back.  The beer guys name is Josh.  I have to say that he is one of the friendliest and most helpful beer guys I have ever met.  He tries to cater to your beer needs and is good with beer recommendations.
I have also noticed that this Whole Foods does quite a few beer tastings.  A few breweries that they have had are Firestone Walker, Anchor, and Lost Coast.  These various tastings are always a plus to get me to go into the store.

I made the trek out from Chino Hills.

Abyss was a B**ch to find in So cal but thanks to Josh the beer guy I got a couple bottles.

Quality- Great beers in the chill box and a pretty good selection at that. Was nice to see some harder to find regional selections there.

Service- Josh was a huge help with the Abyss and even helped with a Ballast Point Vanilla Porter. Was there to help with any question I had and suggestions as well.

Selection- Like I said before great selection and a ton to choose from. For a beer geek you will find something to get.

Value- Because of what they have it can get pricey. But hobbies cost money right?

Love the new Whole Foods...it is in a great location at Bella Terra Mall.

The guy who buys the beer (pretty sure his name is Josh) is a huge beer fan and he knows his stuff and like most good places he keeps the more rare stuff in the back (Firestone 14, Pliny, etc).

They have a great selection including Pliny, Redemption, Sculpin, Knuckle Sandwich, and atleast 5 different ones from Great Divide (including Oak Aged Yeti which was also on tap recently).

Between this and Farmers both so close to me in HB i wont need to go all the way to Hi Times or Hollingshead as often.

This the new Whole Foods that opened up in the Huntington Beach Mall area on 10/13/10. Walking in its a pretty standard size for a Whole Foods, slightly bigger than the Long Beach location. Beer is all the way to the back to the right of the butcher section. Solid beer selection, lots of standard CA, and they seem to be the place to go for new Great Divide releases. Even found some relative rarities here like Big Worst, Redemption, and Pliny the Elder early on. Saw Claymore Scotch Ale here before any other place. Selection is nowhere near Tustin, but clearly beats the Long Beach location. Best beer selection in North Huntington and the fact that it's closer than BevMo makes it a place I'll shop at often.

Edit 4/2012, Bumping the value up to $$$ due to the rising costs, and now all the singles cost $2.59, even for something like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
