A lively aroma of fruit and herbs, enhanced by dry-hopping, is supported by a clean, toasted malt character in our copper-colored English/American Pale Ale.

Had this on 2010-09-13 at the brew pub in Kansas City, MO
A - copper with 1 finger white head
S - mild fruit and yeast No pine and citrus This brew is dry hopped.
T - Strong grain and lemon rind. Disappointing lack of bitterness. Lingering sourness and caramel sweetness.
M - light - medium body and carbonation. Not creamy
D - A safe beer for those that don't want strong flavors.

Chill-haze, coppery-gold in hue, I think, the beer was served in a very frosty glass and the pub itself was very dim and I couldnt see my beer all that well. I could easily see the off-white head, it was served at about a half finger but the head had great staying power. Excellent head retention! There was a good amount of subsequent lacing; it was very webby and sticky. I was pleasantly surprised with the appearance of this beer and I was curious to take a sniff.
The nose tries to be hoppy, it really does, but it was served so cold. If the brewpub thinks this is how their beer should be served then I will review it as such. Im not going to baby their beer. So, the nose has little depth there is just a tickle of faded citrus zest and a kiss of pine. Low potency. Not inviting because I cant make out what this beer is trying to say.
The palate is tasty, especially compared to the other beers Ive had from here. At least I can taste it and say, Yeah, this is a Pale Ale. The hops are present and accounted for; they provide a citrusy, flowery, piney flavor combination. The bitterness is mild but firm and sharp enough for the style. This is not a hop monster but it isnt weak either. The malt is at the back, slightly caramely and toasty. Overall the palate is simple but tasty especially after it warmed up. This is a very good seasonal. Solid.
Medium in body, moderately low carbonation, the mouthfeel is respectable. It isnt watery.
This is a very drinkable beer and it held up well with my fried chicken fingers and BBQ ribs. I liked this beer and would have had more if I had the time. They should make this a year round beer. This is a must try if on tap the rest of their beers are just that lame.

I wanted this Pale Ale to grab me!
This is the closest BrewPub to my house, just a couple miles away.
I found its color golden with red highlights- not ideal lighting.
They served it too cold to get an easy read- I let it warm for a bit.
Nice steady cling pattern. Some fruity sweetness in the aroma.
Taste was decent- some hop bite sharpness apparent.
It is their best offering but here is how I qualify that:
The waitress said that they had a big NASCAR race the next day and were stocking up on cans of Busch Light- the number one request for much of their crowd.
They have a tough audience to educate here and I don't see it happeining in a hurry.
Please - stop in and vote for better beer!

This beer pours a nice medium brown with a decent-sized creamy head that lasts a bit. Lots of lacing which looks impressive at the end of the glass.
The smell is a very clean citrus with a little pine. A very subtle hoppy smell is there as well, at the appropriate pale ale level.
The taste is fresh malt in the front and moderate hops in the end. A very nice combination. Some of that pine comes out in the aftertaste as well.
The mouthfeel is more watery than oily but not to any extreme. The carbonation is well done here, lively but easy to swallow when the time is right.
Whether at the brewpub or now even at home, this is easy to drink and very tasty. If I just had a waitress to pour me one from the growler (and a touchscreen TV that would let me choose from 16 sports programs), I'd be set for a session anytime.
I think they should give this the title of 'Players Choice' Pale Ale and put it on the permanent roster. So far this is easily the best brew I've had from this incarnation of this brewpub. Definitely worth a visit even if you're not a gambler.
