Often stop here while I am at work to grab an Iced Tea or Soda. But have stopped in a few times for the beer selection. It has a convient location right on US Route 1 and only about a mile of Interstate 95. Great collection of craft beers, often some rare ones. Good prices on the brews too, always running sales on domestics like Budweiser and such(if you are in the mood for those beers). I do not tend to go out of my way to go there, are there are more places with bigger cratf beer selections closer to my house. But being almost next to my work has its advatages. They do have some "gas station" like food(pizza, hot dogs, etc.) and a small deli that you can order sandwiches from. Cannot say I have ever had the food there. And they do have a redemtion center for bottle returns. Overall not a bad stop if you happen to be driving by or live/work near by.

Not bad when I lived in Maine and was in this area. From the outside, one might reconsider, but there were some solid options ie Maine Beer Co, Rising Tide, Baxter’s, Smuttynose, Mayflower, and Long Trail. Bombers of Double Bag for $3 probably couldn’t be beat practically anywhere else in Maine, but not sure what the place is like now. Hoping more Mainers or anyone else who has been here show up to say something.

I am ranking this fairly high (atmosphere isn't great but standalone beer atomsphere is fine, plus if you can find good beers who cares if it's a dump??)
In my experience, its a store where most beer geeks woudn't end up as a first stop, however because of that, you can definitely find some gems here. Overall the store isn't that nice, they have some food which doesn't look overly appealing but for the beer you should definitely swing in

Coastal has been my local beer store since I started buying cases of Schaefer cans there some 17 years ago. It's located right at the top of the Exit 32 connector, where it meets Rte 1.
There has always been a solid representation of local microbrews, mostly kept in coolers. They have recently added a broader American craft beer section. Stone, Southern Tier, Dogfish Head, Weyerbacher, Flying Dog, Rogue, Heavy Seas and others from away, are well represented. The prices are very reasonable, best Ive seen in Southern Maine.
