I could swear that I wrote a review for this place just after it was added to BA. I guess I was wrong...

Anyway, I had mixed expectations going in. I knew I didn't really enjoy their beers that much and their food was mediocre from what I experience downtown but just after they opened, a friend of mine said their expensive steak was fantastic.

My fiancee and I went there for a somewhat early lunch on a Saturday. The parking lot was PACKED when we pulled up. It was fairly busy, but didn't get really busy until about 10 minutes after we showed up.

The entrance showcases the brewery behind glass along the left side and the right side is a half-wall that is the only thing keeping the atmosphere from reaching a 5.0 score. The brewery side wasn't exactly hooked up so I'm sure the brews were just brought up from Milwaukee.

In the open-aired, spacious ceiling of the place were large fermentation vessels. That looked so kick-ass. The other awesome thing about the place were the exposed piping running all over the ceiling to the brewing area. Very cool.

The brand new building is gorgeous with a very rustic saloon feel. All bare wood with high-backed booths. The little area we sat in was right by the entrance. The chairs were fairly uncomfortable.

Tables lined the half-wall which was incredibly awkward since people on the other side, just mere inches away leaned against it while waiting to be seated. The wall was only about three feet tall. Terrible design.

Our server was quick to greet us but seemed like he just started serving when the place opened. He meant well but was very nervous. The menus seemed like they were pulled from the Milwaukee location. Nothing new to see here.

The selection of beer was alright save for the fact there wasn't a good beer on tap. All their house brews were ones I really don't care for. I picked the Oktoberfest hoping it was better than last year and I was incredibly let down. Both my fiancee and I struggled to finish our mugs of the ale-like okto.

Where the service shined was with speed. We received our food no more than ten minutes after ordering. Too bad it wasn't all that good. Her chicken sandwich was thin and average, my Bacon and Blue Cheese burger was also very average. Lots of blue cheese really dried it out and it wasn't juicy at all, which was ironic because there were a TON of caramelized onions on it too. The fries and pickle didn't disappoint though! At $10 for the burger it wasn't something I'd ever want to order again.

I don't know that I'll ever be back to this place. It looks good, but that's about all it's got going for it in my opinion. I'd rather head a few miles west to the Milwaukee Ale House which serves some good brews.

A busy day, granted, but the service could be quicker or more organized. The selection on tap is very strong, with at least 32 options from the bar. The brewery is also a restaurant, although I can not attest to the food. Convenient location right off of I94 at Exit 92. Bar is first come, first serve.

Boring low quality beer with significant flaws and off favors.

Stopped for lunch on a Monday. When we arrived the place was almost empty, but filled considerably by the time we left.
A beautiful steel and wood structure with awesome decor and really cool old brewery signs all over the place, as well as all the brewing visible to all.
Had a flight of 6 regular and 2 seasonal beers that where all pretty good to excellent.
The stand out beer was a Maple Oktoberfest that was incredible.
The highlight though was the Reuben sandwich and pub chips.
I am a Reuben fanatic and have been for many years and I can say that the Reuben at this place is easily in the top 2 or 3 all time with the corned beef itself being the best I have ever had. Awesome pub chips to top it off for a great lunch visit.
