On-tap at 38 Degrees in Alhambra. It's classified as a sweet stout, although its alcohol hits 15%! On to the beer:

Black bodied and topped with a small head which leaves a little lacing around. With one whiff of the aroma, I felt that I had taken my weekly allowance of alcohol, as the aroma is extremely boozy. Lots of booze. There's some sherry and raisin notes to salvage something for the nose. Taste it...there's a display of smoked malts, a whole lot of booze, and some sherry. With time and as the beer warms, some of the alcohol translates to more sherry. Indeed, this is a very sweet and boozy beer. My first few sips, I was wondering what I was getting into to. With time, I was dealing with a strong beer which was also enjoyable. Christmas milk indeed....

Pitch black color with brown head. Aroma has chocolate and spices. Vanilla and cinnamon are the most evident. Taste starts really sweet with cacao, cinnamon, vanilla and sweet dark cherries. Heavy body with soft carbonation. Really nice dessert beer.

12.7 ounce bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark fruit, chocolate, roasted malt, and some molasses. Taste is similar to the aroma, the brew tastes like dark fruit (cherries, raisins), chocolate, cream, molasses, roasted malt, vanilla, and a bit of sherry. It's a mostly sweet tasting stout, that's for sure. For a brew that's 15% ABV, the alcohol is well hidden! Mouthfeel/body is full, it's syrupy and slick with a good amount of carbonation. It's also smooth and easy to drink. I thought this was pretty good, I'm disappointed I only bought one bottle. If I come across it again, I'll make sure to buy more! $10.99 a bottle.

On tap at Pizza Plant in Williamsville, NY.

This one pours a very dark black, with a small head that clears out quickly, and no lacing.

This is described as a Christmas stout, and I can sorta see that, as there's caramelized dark fruit, almost like a fruitcake or something, with fudgy chocolate, a nice earthy roastiness, and malted kind of chocolate ice cream or something.

This quite surprisingly hides the alcohol very well, given that it's 15%. I almost get no booze character from this. It's super creamy, with vanilla, port soaked cherries, raisins, and a nice roasty finish. It's pretty complex. The creaminess and thickness of this makes it feel almost milkshake like, at least like alcoholic melted ice cream.

This is pretty thick and creamy. I can tell it's not *actually* that thick, but the heavy lactose infusion kind of creates the illusion of thickness. There's a pretty low level of carbonation.

This is another solid but monstrous beer from those weird dudes at To Ol. They are a super underrated brewery.
