330ml bottle. Best before 2016-01-06.

A: Hazy gold. A lot of dense foam, long retention.
S: Orange and mango. Despite I open it too late, it's still aromatic and fresh.
T: Orange. Pineapple. Medium bitterness. Dry. Short finish.
M: Medium body. Crispy carbonation.
O: Kind of Wit I like. Fruity and refreshing, and no coriander.

The colour is yellow, the liquid is cloudy. The head is high, white and compact.

The smell is a bit tart with American hops and citric peels.

The taste is fruity with distinct notes of citric peels. Exotic fruits, lemons and a mild bitterness. Medium to light body. Passing notes of unripe exotic fruits in the aftertaste and a touch of stearin and somewhat harsh hops. Citric peels in the finish.

Small long-lasting bubbles; medium smooth somewhat sticky liquid.

The fat candle-grease flavour disturbs me a bit, this beer is not as refreshing as I had hoped for.

Pour gold with a large mousse-like head.
Nose shows orange peel, spicy hops, grassy notes and grapefruit.
Flavours include more spicy, grassy and hearbal hops along with a biscuity malt note. A little orange shows through.
Carbonation is much too high.

Schooner on-tap from Brewdog Glasgow (£4.50):
Cloudy amber to golden colour and was topped with a white lacing that is thick & stays fairly constant.

Wheat & orange peel on the nose initially with some light spices and subtle hops also coming through. There was a touch of yeast and faint biscuit malts along with some citrus.

Bitter hops and some spice along with some orange peel and citrus. I could detect some background fruits that included some apple and there was a few tropical fruit flavours, mainly mango.

Slightly bitter & dry with a medium body and solid, moderate carbonation and an okay balance.

Enjoyable and easy to drink but I felt as though the taste, and the smell in particular could have done with being more pronounced. It was a nice beer nonetheless and featured more hops than your usual witbiers which made for a nice change.

Hazy orange, small floating specks, rich white head with decent retention.
Lots of citrusy hops in the smell, subtle tropical and very faint wheaty bread, even some biscuits. No typical spices detected here.
Taste assures you this is a witbier, with a huge grainy dryness, straw, fluffy wheat maltiness, enhanced by the citrus hops and the clearly added peel. Nice floral notes, very "green" cause of the hops, but the yeasts are lacking and i can't get any traditional wit flavours, like coriander and other peppery herbs. After the big bitterness and the rough wheatiness settles, aftertaste presents a nice fruitiness, tropical, with the added mango very obvious.
Kinda heavy bodied, medium carbonation, so not the most refreshing wit out there.
Sure, has a nice punch of hops, big citrus, and the (bit too much) wheaty maltiness, but lacks the spicy yeastiness traditional to a Belgian wit.

Witbier (though doen't seem like one) of an incredible smell: extremely floral, with citrus tones and strong mango tones..

Appearance -
Cloudy golden colour, very thick cloudy 3cm head, moderate effervescence, not much lacing.

Smell -
Pineapple, peach, orange peel, nougat, pine resin, handcream, almonds. Slightly mild.

Taste -
Quite bitter, a hint of lemon, grapefruit and mango, plenty of hops balanced out by wheaty maltiness and dryness.

Mouthfeel -
A bit of effervescent fizz, but not overly carbonated, moderate body, clean and crisp

Overall -
A solid witbier, but mostly dominated by hop bitterness - not the most complex wit out there. Clean, refreshing and easy drinking overall, but pretty standard.
