Black color with creamy, tan head. Aroma has lots of chocolate and dark fruits, some wood as well. Taste is quite complex with barrel character, dry wine notes, dark chocolate, roasted malts, some cherries, really bitter finish and aftertaste with roasted malt but also hops. Body is quite light for the style and ABV, also quite dry. Overall it's quite good and complex but it lacks some mouthfeel.

Pours dark brown but doesn't look quite as viscous as the Black Ball I just poured. Black in the glass with two fingers of frothy and thick dark khaki head. Dark malts and light vinous barrel notes, some almond, herby hops and a touch of anise and molasses in the nose. Taste is dark, lightly charred malts, nice light barrel notes and caramel. Some great subtle complexities compared to the regular black ball. Maybe not better, but very nice as well.

Pours a dark brown almost blacl hue with no light let in and a chocolate laced obe finger non lasting head and a touch of lacing here and there, the smell is wood, spice, booze, chocolate and cognac, the feel is medium bodied with light carbonation and the tastes are chocolate rum balls, oak, spice and finished with a herbal hoppiness, overall quite nice with the barrels being as influential as they are cheers.

Pours black with a tan head.
Nose shows heavy roast, cognac, soft booze and cocoa.
Heavy-hitting flavours, loads of dry roast with a bit of booze and cognac cutting through at the end.
Could use some extra carbonation for a creamier mouthfeel.

Draft @ Mikkeller Stockholm

Black pour with a tanned head that clings to the glass.

Luscious dark chocolate, cherry, brown sugar, almond, some slight warming which has to be from the spirit.

Smooth and is a little lighter bodied than I would want.
