Pours a two finger off-white head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Hazy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Bready, malty nose, flavor is malty, dark fruit but at 17% ABV one would expect a boozy flavor, not really mostly hidden. $8.95 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

Bought in San Diego for $8 for a 11.2oz bottle. Bottle says "Long time boiled imperial ple ale". Pours cloudy orange with no head. Strong alcoholic smell with caramel and toffee malt, vanilla, and piney blend of hops. Taste of caramel, toffee, vanilla, peppermint, loads of stinging hops, spices, and buttery (dyacetyl?), but this doesn't detract from the flavor. High carbonation, full bodied, and although heat is evident, the 17% hides itself well. Overall a solid IPA/Barleywine hybrid on par with 120 that I would have again.
