A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer topped by a dense finger of deep tan head which fades slowly and leaves decent lacing
S: Smells of chocolate, roasted malts, and a little coffee
T: Taste is sweet upon entry with some milk chocolate, roasted malts, slight charred wood and toasted marshmallow followed by some bitter dark malts and coffee. Swallow is toasted marshmallow, coffee, and roasted malts with some lingering milk chocolate and roasted malts.
M: This beer is fairly full in body with a slightly silky mouthfeel. Carbonation is on the low side but adequate for the style and ABV while the beer has a slightly drying finish.
O: Overall this is a very nice beer. It has good flavors and some solid complexity. It also drinks pretty well for the ABV. It's represents the style well and is worth a try if you can find it.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12.7 oz. bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.
A: Very dark brown and opaque, with a thin tan head. A very low amount of visible carbonation.
S: Dark roasted malts, chocolate and cacao nibs. Lactose sweetness with coffee, mild vanilla and sweet leather. Some ethanol heat and booze. A decent nose, nice and roasty.
T: Tons of roasty dark malts up front. Lactose, vanilla, and chocolate with leather and tobacco in spades. Dry cacao nibs, mild roasted coffee. Some ethanol sweetness. Roastiness and dark chocolate with the lactose sweetness in the hang.
A: A big, sticky body for a milk porter – this is crazy. The alcohol is obvious, especially for something not barrel-aged, but doesn't quite become obnoxious. A low amount of carbonations sensation, but this just seems to accentuate the smooth silky thick mouthfeel.
O: Really an impressive milk porter (or whatever they’re calling this). The huge roast balances the sweet flavors from the lactose, vanilla and chocolate. Big alcohol presence, but the malt bill and other flavors can stand up to it. I think the best non-adjunct milk porter I’ve ever had.

Appearance - The beer poured a deep black color with bubbles clinging to tge sides of the glass.
Smell - The nose was a sweet & syrupr booze presence.
Taste - There was a big deep dark chocolate presence here. There was an almoststicky syrupy sweetness to the chocolate with an underlying booziness. Oddly, there are slight grape notes.
Mouthfeel - The feel was almost sticky in its viscosity.
Overall - There were aspects of this that were odd, but I liked it.

Delicious. There was some kind of dark fruit, maybe plum, taste on the finish.

Pours a black color. 2/3 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of alcohol, sweet malt, roasted malt, hops, wood, and a hint of herbs. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial Stout. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sweet malt, alcohol, hops, wood, and a hint of herbs. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, and blend.

I love this brewery. I love milk stouts. What could go wrong?
Looks beautiful. Jet black with a coffee head.
Smell- milk chocolate, lactose, dark fruits,
Taste- Follows the nose. Don't know how I feel about it. It reminds me of the Bruery's 8 Maids Stout. This one isn't quite as fruity. Not a huge fan of fruitiness in my stout. There is a cherry tartness that I wasn't crazy about.
MF- silky and thick.
Overall- not as good as I would have hoped but not bad by any means.
