Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as some dank, resinous accents. Taste is an excellent balance of light, biscuity malt and juicy, dank, slightly spicy and resinous hops with some fruity tropical and citrus notes of passion fruit, papaya and grapefruit, as well as hints of white pepper and pine. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some passion fruit, grapefruit and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice New England IPA that breaks the mold a little, which is just the way I like it. While it's quite hazy, juicy and with a rather soft mouthfeel as well, it's not that sweet, with the Columbus hops coming through strongly here with some dank, resinous and spicy notes that the fruity notes almost play second fiddle to, although the overall balance really is excellent, striking a great harmony of sweet, juicy and dank, resinous elements. Overall, a perhaps somewhat atypical, but still very enjoyable NEIPA with a strong dank, resinous character and without a hint of booze to it despite the ABV. Dangerously easy-drinking, actually.
