Unknown vintage; drank 2/2/15 @ the Yarchives.
Murky orange/brown appearance.
HUGE eggshell head; a curtain of tree-rung lace.
Peanut butter & caramel nose; odd for a DIPA!
Medium mouthfeel.
Sickly sweet peanut butter & caramel flavors up front; pickle juice notes on the finish.
A nearly undrinkable mess.

11.2 FL OZ bottle
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours hazy and a deep amber color. It is topped with several inches of creamy, tan head that clings to the side of the glass.
The coffee aroma hits my nose first misleading me into thinking of a stout. Then the citrus pops up with some orange and grapefruit.
The first taste is of coffee. Then, much like the smell, the citrus comes into play. However, the more I drink, the more the coffee flavor asserts itself on my tastebuds leaving a lingering coffee aftertaste.
It is full and creamy not unlike a stout.
This is an interesting beer. The balance of the coffee and citrus flavors agrees favorably with my palate. I am enjoying this beer. The next logical step is a bourbon barrel coffee IPA.

A – Dark rich amber, toffee colored creamy head, sticky beautiful lacing.
S – Muted, dark and rich malty notes, some coffee is hiding in here, but very subdued.
T – Sweet dark coffee, bitter hops, light malt sweetness.
M – Medium body, long lingering finish, proper carbonation.
O – One of the best coffee beers I've ever had. Excellently balanced.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange amber, I may have poured all the yeast in, making it more cloudy than normal. Two finger yellowish cream colored head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of European hops, earthy, piney and citrus, mild coffee, light bready malt. Flavor of sweet caramel malt, piney, resinous hops with citrus notes, cream and coffee; more of a latte taste than brewed coffee. Well balanced. Lingering spicy hop bitterness with a mild, sweet coffee note. Nice creamy medium body. A very distinctly flavored ale, the coffee flavor is lightly done and melds with the hops excellently. They did a superb job of integrating the coffee and hops flavors. Not intensely hoppy, but with a great balance of flavors. I really like the taste of coffee in dark malt beers like stouts, but often find the coffee in lighter styles too stark. Not in this case, everything is in synch. A really well done coffee IPA and a top notch collaboration

Pours a cloudy, copper color. 3/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of coffee, chocolate, slight roasted malt, slight caramel malt, hint of yeast, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of slight alcohol, sweet malt, hint of yeast, hint of caramel malt, hint of pale malt, hint of chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Overall, too sweet, too little coffee, and weak on hops.

One of my favorites. I was handed this on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best I have ever had.
