Seeing some reviews that indicated that this beer might be infected, I approached this bottle with some caution.
A: Very dark brown, barely perceptible head on gentle pour.
S: Dark dry red wine.
T: I had considerable apprehension that this beer might be infected given other reviews, but instead I got a very pronounced cognac presence. Perhaps one of the strongest barrel presences that I have encountered in many a beer. In some ways, the vinous qualities of this beer reminded me of Shmaltz' Hebrew Funky Jewbelation series of beers, of which I am not fond. Taste is overwhelmingly cognac barrel, with bitter chocolate way in the background. Hard to find other flavors with the strong cognac presence. I split this bottle with a friend of mine, and we soldiered through it, but did not enjoy it.
O: A difficulty in rating this beer, is that it might achieve its' intended goal, but that a strong cognac presence in beer is not appreciated by me. If you like cognac, you may really enjoy this beer; otherwise, not so much.

Steep price to pay for a beer that was clearly infected. Love me some sours but not an infected sour. Rich dark, moderate lacing no head. Typical Jesus scent w/ a hint of acidity to it. Tasted was a sour medley of awfulness. Uncharacteristic thin feel for this series. Thought I'd be able to enjoy my half of the bottle. Tasted a third sip and poured her down the drain. Couldn't do it.

Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger foamy brown head that was full of tiny bubbles and dissipated on the quick side as it popped and hissed and went down leaving minimal spotty lacing.
Smells like rich dark chocolate, molasses, espresso, toffee, toasted grains and then heavy dark fruit including pretty prominent green apple. Funky and tart aromas cut through the toffee and chocolate so I think this is part of the infected batch. It's not awful, but it's not right. I'm no cognac expert, but I expected barrel notes and peat moss instead of sour green apple or rotting fruit.
Tastes pretty much the same: dark chocolate, molasses, chocolate syrup, espresso, toffee, toasted grains and then rotten dark fruit, sour green apple, all kinds of funky notes and tart bitter fruity flavors. Sour cherries, orange soda and cheap, bitter red wine round out what I didn't want from this brew. I hoped for the best after reading some of the other infected reviews, but this just was off and bad in so many ways that it barely resembles Even More Jesus.
What a fucking shame and even worse a waste of $30. Jeppe throw me a bone here, or at least a T-shirt.

A - Pitch black pour with a dark creamy toffee colored lacing ring.
S - Delicate chocolate, oak, spice, smoke aroma.
T - Sweet dark chocolate with a mesquite, smoky, spicy woody flavor.
M - Big, full bodied, silky, velvet.
O - ABV well hidden but this beer is not tasting like the label says. Maybe it's old? Eviltwin - DATE your bottles.
