16 oz can from Tavour. Black oil slick of a pour, dark brown head dissipates to flat. Sweet, roasty aroma with a hint of spice. Taste features chocolate, mild snappy, spicy flavors, deep roast grains, burnt toast. Full creamy mouth feel, mouth coating too.

When I read the title Sir Mix-a-lot came to my mind, I got big butts. Evil Twin Brewery has been a few hits and misses with beer for me. Thus far, the stout they have made are satisfying, I would like to put this beer in that category. A refreshing hiss emitted from the can as I popped the top. The beer poured like a thick syrup coming out of the bottle. The alcohol content of this beer is huge, measuring in at 17 percent. The beer is 50 degree and served in a tulip glass. The hard pour of the beer produced a one finger dark tan head. The dark tan head is creamy and billowy with poor retention. The head dissipated fairly quickly leaving no sign of it existences. The color of the beer is SRM 36 dark brown nearly black in color. Since the beer has a high alcohol content, I do not discount the poor head retention. A refreshing hiss emitted from the can as I popped the top.
The aroma in the beer is bready, espresso, dark chocolate, anise, Maillard, smoky, fire, toffee, caramel, figs, alcohol, earthy, floral, dark roasted malts, molasses, toasted sugar, and grassy.
The flavors in the beer are dark Belgium chocolate, dark roasted coffee, anise, vanilla, toasted sugar, fig, alcohol, earthy, floral, esters, dark roasted malts, molasses, smoke, fire, Maillard, bready, toffee, and caramel.
The beer has this impressive mouthfeel creamy, thick, coating and spicy.
The body of the beer is full, low carbonation, and full finish.
I am stunned by the quality this beer has. The balance and harmony are fine-tuned like an Italian Sports Car. I literally had to process this beer. For a non-barrel aged beer, this is impressive. The alcohol is well hidden in this beer. As the beer warms up, the flavors just come alive. Freaking awesome beer.

Definitely lives up to its name. This is a BIG rich beer, that pours, has the color of, and looks like a half quart of heavily used motor oil. Big sweet dark chocolate flavor. It's got about the same mouth feel as heavy cream, but the color is an opaque pitch black. Oddly enough, it smells faintly of pizza... pretty good stuff though, even though I'm not a huge fan of imperial stouts. This one is enjoyable.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from an 11.2 fl oz bottle on June 19, 2018. Barrel aged Imperial stout brewed with frozen pizza and dry money'd. Did not smell or taste anything like pizza.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter
Bottled in 2015
A- pours a thick and viscous jet black color with a one finger creamy dark brown head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- rich dark roasted malt aroma with notes of caramel, tootsie rolls, anise, figs & raisins, light char. This may be my imagination, but I swear I'm picking up oregano & pizza sauce
T- sweet & malty up front with big sweet chocolate & caramel notes, along with molasses, fig & raisin. The finish is a mix of sweet malt & booze
M- thick and viscous body with moderate carbonation leads to a thick & heavy mouthfeel with an alcohol burn on the linger
O- big & boozy, as expected. A straight forward imperial stout with the pizza part being mostly gimmick. I did however get some Italian spices in the aroma

Pours black with a finger of khaki foam. Head retention is poor with no lacing left behind. Aroma is roasted and toasted malts, booze, caramel, toffee, and molasses. Alcohol content is huge, and pokes a hole in the aroma balloon here. Flavor profile is roasted, toasted, nutted, and biscuit malts with toffee, caramel, and molasses. While it hides most of the alcohol content, the 17%+ ABV still pokes through disrupting the flavor profile. Mouth feel is thick, with a hearty, velvety texture that matches the hearty ABV. Overall, the surreal ABV percentage is apparent in both the aroma and flavor profile, but not grossly so. Otherwise, it's a solid stout.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

Enjoyed at the Copenhagen Beer Fest. Reviewed from notes.
A - Poured a nice dark black hue with a thin mocha head that fades nice and slowly.
S - Aromas of bourbon, chocolate fudge, light roast.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with very nice bourbon and chocolate notes. The malts are rather strong though and almost cloyingly sweet.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated and thick, however the finish is incredibly sticky.
O - Overall this beer had loads of potential but the cloying sweetness really overpowered the positive notes of this beer. Very unfortunate.
