Notes:
An alien-like outsider, always flirting with oddity and exploring anxiety and paranoia. A style chameleon, a wonderful labyrinth and truly a transcendent genius. It’s impossible not to idolize out of proportion. This is a stout. It may not be a hero but it’s attractive, clever and hungry for stardom.

I have to wonder if there are some off cans as I found it to be charred, metallic, astringent in a very unpleasant way.
I have rated their beer before and have always found them to be at the least, above average. So I wouldn't take too much stock in my review.
Will try and find another can to give this another chance

Chocolatey, metallic, and smooth, this is a stereotypical oatmeal stout in a good way. Clean, efficient in its goals, and gets the job done. A gold standard for oatmeal stouts.

Pour is black with mahogany on the edges and a sudsy tan head. There’s char and cocoa on the nose and ..... something that approximates the Guinness yeast and malt profile.
The taste is very similar to the Guinness 200th Anniversary Stout with the Black Patent malt - if I was tasting this blind, I’d say this was that beer, and I love that beer.

N: Very faint burnt coffee, some chocolate, and smoke.
T: Very bitter harsh old coffee flavors with a terrible aftertaste that lingers.
M: Bad bitter notes overwhelm the entire beer.
O: Hated this beer, the harsh flavor of burnt coffee and extremely bitter dark chocolate eliminated any enjoyment, poured this out.

Bottom of can reads ‘BATCH#005’
Pours black with a finger of frothy light mocha head; excellent longevity on the head eventually leaves thin walls of lacing and a thick ring of froth around the edge in its wake.
Aroma shows hints chocolate-covered raspberries eventually giving way to a balanced bouquet of dark chocolate, roasty coffee, and bits of wild berries through to the finish.
Taste is light char and bitter baker’s chocolate along with aggressive heavily roasted, almost burnt coffee and malt notes carrying toward the finish, but ultimately fading spectacularly; this profile is a bit disjointed, albeit with decent flavor.
Mouthfeel has a medium body with even-keeled carbonation. A char consistently builds to a mild, malty bitterness on the palate; unsurprisingly primarily dry, especially toward the finish, where any stickiness fades almost entirely; end result is pretty thin.
The base is decent enough, but the flavor and body are a bit disorganized, and thin out even when things do come together.

A pint poured into a founders glass leaving a 1,5 inch brownish head.
Smells chocolate, raisin (grape?) other berries.
Taste is again dark chocolate and a hint of caramel... well balanced bittersweet aromas.
Overall I enjoyed this oatmeal stout offering from EvilTwin. Quaffable, thick, flavorful and pretty delicious, having it for a brunch on a Sunday late morning I doubt I could have had something better at the moment.

Looks very thick and creamy with a solid head. Lacking on the smell a little, but can still smell the oats and chocolate with a little molasses. Taste is smooth, creamy, and inviting. Feel is the best part as it is incredibly creamy and thick.

L: Pitch black with a large creamy light brown head. Medium retention. A thin film sticks around, leaving sheets of lacing.
S: Dark chocolate, burnt toast, soy sauce, toffee, burnt raisin, prune.
T: Cocoa, dark chocolate, burnt toast, caramel, and some plum and raisin. A hint of soy sauce, though not as much as the nose. A nice mild lingering burnt/roasted bitterness.
F: Medium, well carbonated. A bit thinner than expected, but fairly smooth. Waters out a bit near the finish.
O: A solid oatmeal stout. Drinkable, aromatic, and quite flavorful. And a good value at $9.99 for four pints.

Draft pour at Doc Ponds, Stowe, VT.
3/4 inch tan head over a dark brown body with some sticky lacing. Nose of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Taste mirrors nose nicely with a bit of espresso as well. Nice feel and overall, a very good oatmeal stout from the evil one. Cheers!

Two cans tasted like soap, one directly out of the can to ensure it wasn't my glass. I don't care if bad cans aren't supposed to be rated, if they can't get the packaging right then it deserves to be noted. Batch 5.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of creamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A good, but not great aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, and cream.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of hops (mostly in the finish), light cream notes, some dark chocolate (not as much as expected), lots of roasted malt, and dark fruit (plums, in particular). Not necessarily a bad flavor, but it could have used a little boost. This is one of those "not bad" flavors. The dark fruit is an interesting addition.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a surprisingly lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Overall, this is an uneven beer. It has some unusual qualities that make it worth a try.

Normal pour from 16oz can into snifter glass produces a huge coffee brown head, solid black body, no lacing
Upfront the aroma is bitter sweet dark chocolate quickly followed by espresso roasts, but agitating the glass again brings out dark cherry, pomegranate, plums and prunes, maybe even grapes, no alcohol presence
Taste is bitter chocolate with light coffee notes, mix of dark fruit, slightly metallic and coppery, medium roast in the finish
Mouthfeel is smooth and medium, moderate carbonation, long finish, doesn’t sit really heavy like most stouts, almost feel like I could have another lol, no alcohol burn so I’d say it’s very well hidden
Overall for the $3 something I paid I’m satisfied and enjoyed myself drinking it w/ company tonight, would definitely pick up again due to the lighter feel and complexity

Batch 001.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE, noisy dark khaki head; minimal lace.
Dark chocolate, mild marshmallow & faint dark cherry notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Bakers chocolate, fresh earth & faint marshmallow flavors up front; mild dark cherry notes on the finish. Cream notes emerged as this warmed.
Robust yet drinkable; almost a baby RIS. This was a pleasant surprise; well above average for the genre.

Just an all around good stout. Not any one thing really sticks out. It is balanced and the alcohol is well hidden. Enough sweetness to keep the bitter from the hops and roastiness in check. At $3 dollars for a pint, it beats anything I am going to get on tap somewhere for the same price. And I did enjoy it with a good meal, so it goes well with a little drinking food.
