330 ml bottle into a snifter. Purchased 11/2018, had 4/1/19.
Pours dark brown, opaque and thick looking, with a short head and some spotty cling. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, oak, brandy, fudge, some molasses and char, light vanilla and grapes. Flavors of brandy, roasted malt, chocolate, oak, fudge, molasses, prunes, some grapes, light vanilla- a little more as it warms, some char. Smooth, a great full body, well carbonated.
The brandy barrels are an interesting pairing with the heavily roasted malt. It made the beer more refreshing, but I didn’t get the typical profile of the barrels- although they certainly enhance his. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Well worth a purchase.

Beautiful thick, dark pour with minimal head. Aroma of a coffee soaked prune. Great flavor, alcohol is present but the percentage is well hidden. Initially sweet but the finish seems dry and slightly salty. Enjoyed this one. Brandy barrel aged is nice.

Incredibly toasty and charred nose, with grapes, booze, and oak revealing the barrel influence. Brown sugar, coffee, molasses, and nuts from the malt.
Absolutely massive on the palate. Waves of licorice, roast, espresso, nuts, char, molasses, caramel, toffee, grapes, brown sugar, and booze, all tinged and accented by the barrel treatment.
It’s big, bold, rude even. It doesn’t hide the booziness. A touch watery perhaps.
It’s a little toasty for my personal preference, but I have no doubt that this is an exceptional stout.

Look – Pitch black with a dark chocolaty foamy head. Ever so slightly larger bubbles than the regular Aún Más A Jesús; likely because of the sherry aging.
Smell – A strong scent of chocolate, molasses, brownie, coffee, malt, and sherry. VERY nice!
Taste –Molasses, Chocolate, sherry, and malt. This is a delicious stout.
Feel – Feels a tad more watery (less creamy) than the regular Aún Más A Jesús, but still has a syrupy, lightly carbonated, and smooth mouth feel.
Overall – I tried this side by side with the regular Aún Más A Jesús, and I prefer that. This is still a fabulous stout, and I would highly recommend it.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This nice little imperial
pours a rugged and oily pitch black with a modest head of brown
foam that settles to a thick ring with subtle lacing. Nose of dark
musty wine, moist oak, dark coffee, subtle cocoa, and heavy laden
char notes. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with a musty wine
element with light brandy touches, astringent booze, and cocoa
mingle nicely with dark chocolate and cocoa notes with a heavy
char and light smoke note. Very nice mouth feel; low carbonation,
full body, and a rich char and brandy finish with heavy bitter
cocoa and malt notes.
We love the series, but this one is a bit too vinous with the
wine notes that bang on a Cabernet drum line. Nice but
will go after the other variants of this fine elixir.
Cheers

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin brown head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, coffee and faint brandy. Flavor is dark toasted malt, brandy, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak and licorice. An odd slightly tart fruit note in the finish that must be from the brandy. Medium bodied with light creaminess. The basic Jesus imperial malt body is as deep and flavorful as always. The brandy adds a light fruity flavor that turns a little towards tartness in the finish, which is not my favorite flavor in stouts. Good cocoa and oak woodiness. A nice imperial stout, as usual with this series, but the brandy finish didn't seem to integrate as much as I had hoped. Enjoyable, but not a repeater.

330mL bottle from Greenville Beer Exchange. 8.99. No bottling date. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku. Enjoyed 8/18/18.
Pours midnight black with a finger and a quarter of rich mocha head. Decent retention.
Smells of sweet brandy, chocolate, roast, wet oak, caramel and a little vanilla.
Full, decadent flavors of pure dark chocolate fudge, brandy, burnt caramel, espresso, charred wood and of course a little alcohol.
Thick, hearty feel with fairly light carbonation. Roasty, bitter finish with notes of burnt chocolate and boozy brandy.
I’ve long been a fan of Evil Twin’s imperial stouts and this one doesn’t disappoint. Aún Más A Jesús builds upon that familiar Even More Jesus base by adding some delicious brady barrel character.

No bottled on date, but I’m guessing in the 6 months to 1 year interval.
Nice motor oil black pour. Tan head of foam circles the glass and leaves minimal lace as it settles. Poured cold, so not expecting too much “stick” quite yet.
Sweet, dark chocolate, light roast coffee, malt, and an off predominance of Apple on the nose. If this was aged in Apple Brandy barrel I’d buy it, but I know it wasn’t and can just tell this has infected a litte.
Getting a little bit of chili heat initially among a predominance of bitter roasty coffee and light cacao nibs flavors. The bitterness lingers, along with a lightly acidic tartness. It actually manages to work well with the boozy warmth that the beer finishes with, but even while the flavors don’t taste as off as the nose was, it’s definitely still fallen off.
Smooth, a little thin, and with a sticky, warm finish. As I mentioned, slightly boozy and a hint of vinegar acidity from the infection.

I like brandy barrel-aged stouts in general, so this one piqued my interest, but I should have known better. Ham-flavored, smoky, with some over-the-top barrel notes that have no particular desire to integrate themselves into the rest of the beer. Evil Twin has a very hit-or-miss record for me in the barrel-aged variants department, but this one is a miss for me.
