16 oz can poured into a pint glass.

Cloudy yellow, small pepper like floaties. No head, just a small ring of bubbles around the perimeter of the glass.

Ripe pineapple, orange zest and slight mint on the nose.

Palate follows the nose. Sweet fruit, semi-dry finish. No alcohol detected and subtle drying on the finish.

A bit thin but it works.

Another good hoppy IPA from Evil Twin. Wouldn't mind a second.

L: Hazy, juicy, yellow color, one finger quickly dissipating white head, messy lacing, light carbonation.

S: Tropical fruits, hops. Smells wonderful.

T: Tropical fruits, hops, malts. Bitter. Really nice.

F: Extremely light and drinkable. Goes down like water (in a good way)!

O: Great NEIPA from Evil Twin.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release locally. Pours opaquely hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent NE IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; extremely smooth and easy to drink with the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Great soft mouthfeel, and impressive Galaxy/Simcoe showcase as expected. Super juicy and lightly dank hop complexity; awesome malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy. Underwhelming aromas, but the taste made up for it. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Tasted in a Spiegleau IPA glass from a one pint can on May 23, 2018. First in the series of mostly one hop juicy IPA's brewed at Dorchester Brewing for wider distribution. Brewed with Galaxy hops. Very good.

As New Evil Twin Beer Sunday (Week 692) CANtiniues, I am delving into IPAs after a short departure.

From the CAN: "You better lose yourself in this IPA, the moment. You own it, you better never let it go."

I Crack!ed open the vent & began a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. I was unpleasantly surprised by both its slightly hazy appearance & the tropical fruit smell that was already beginning to emanate from the beer. I am not a fan of hazebro AIPAs & since they do not fit the style guidelines, I am always a low outlier in my ratings. In its favor was the fact that it puffed up with a dense, foamy finger of bone-white head with very good retention. Color was a slightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 -5). Nose was a sweet tropical fruit salad mélange. 8=p Where is the bitterness?!? This is NOT my idea of an AIPA! Mouthfeel was medium-to-full. not quite creamy, but on the approach. The taste was the usual tropical fruit suspects of mango, guava, papaya & passion fruit, but this is NOT what I expect in this style. I was especially disappointed since there was nothing on the label to alert me to its taste. Finish was semi-sweet, very fruity, but also very disappointing. YMMV.

Pours a hazy bright yellow with a thick white head that lingers and leaves great lacing. Massive amount of floating particles. Aroma is bright tropical fruits, and the flavor follows the nose with just a touch of bitterness in the end. Feel is thick and decently carbonated. Overall a fun beer to drink.

Hazy yellow color with off-white head. Aroma is fruity and juicy with jelly beans and lemon notes. Taste has grassy hop notes with herbal bitterness. Medium body and carbonation.

look: Hazy though not all that hazy. Looks kind of like apple juice. Big foamy white head and sticky lacing.
smell: Bright tropical citrus nose.
taste: Tropical citrus juice. A slight bitterness in the finish but mostly an easy drinking, juicy IPA.
