This is the best new beer I have had all year. HOLY CRAP!! I don't even want to write a review telling you how damn delicious it was, because I don't want competition trying to get it at my local beer store. I'll end my review with that. I swear you're gonna love it. My wife who barely drinks beer outside of brewer's festivals, took a photo of it with her iPhone, noted the name on her iPhone Notes app, and claimed it was the best beer she had ever had too. That's quite a compliment. Pour a beautiful yellow cloud and tastes like little angels dancing on your pallate.

16 oz. can

Pours hazy yellow-gold with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like peach, mango, apricot, orange citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit, guava, pineapple, mild caramelized bready crackery malts, with dank earthy herbal grass and resinous floral woodsy pine. Tastes like peach, mango, apricot, orange citrus peel, grapefruit pith, passionfruit, guava, pineapple, mild caramelized bready crackery malts, with dank earthy herbal grass and bitter resinous floral woodsy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice IPA.

Featuring Galaxy and Simcoe hops... Medium-gold body, cloudy with haze; coupla fingers of foam on top, some lacing trailing behind... Totally diggin' this beer... Initially picked up on grapefruit, lemon, and tart white grape; warmer impressions of peach, mango, and guava followed... citrusy and tropical, plush and soft - moderately sweet, moderately bitter - juicy, but not too juicy, with a nice twang of tang...

Great beer. Tangerine, pine, and malt flavors all play well together with the citrus notes. Smooth, mild bitterness. Hop aroma and flavors come thru as well. Batch 1 under my can, was afraid it would taste less fresh with no date but but i was proven wrong. Highly recommend for NEIPA fans.

The first time I tried this beer I didn't really like it.. I think I was expecting something different and it was at a party so I couldn't really enjoy it. When I tried it again by the fire in my own special glass, the experience was totally different. I enjoyed the hazy color and the texture as well as the citrus flavor that came across. I only bought a 4 pack so I had one a week as a special treat to myself after a weeks work.

L: Hazy, juicy, yellow color, one finger quickly dissipating white head, messy lacing, light carbonation.

S: Tropical fruits, hops. Smells wonderful.

T: Tropical fruits, hops, malts. Bitter. Really nice.

F: Extremely light and drinkable. Goes down like water (in a good way)!

O: Great NEIPA from Evil Twin.

Smells dank. Taste is a lot lighter than the smell would indicate. Definitely some Australian or New Zealand hops in there. Pine, pineapple, white grape and melon. Perfect level of sweetness. Lower bitterness. Lighter bodied. Crisp and clean. Medium finish. Really good and easy drinking.

16 oz. Can

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango), nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango), nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this one surprised me, a pretty nice take on a NE IPA. Addictive! Orange Julius! Nice to see it around here.

Look is pale gold and hazy. Smell is piles of juicy citrus, mostly grapefruit. Taste is bitter juice, more grapefruit. Almost zero malt balance. Feel is a touch thin and watery. Overall a very solid effort at for a hazy NE IPA, but misses the pillowy mouthfeel of the world class versions.

I love Evil Twin's Imperial Stouts, and the Molotov - an Imperial IPA - so wasn't sure what to expect with a lighter beer. Surprisingly outstanding! Beautiful hazy light orange color. Pours with a slight white head. Smell - has a light hint of grapefruit - allows you to anticipate the taste. fantastic grapefruitish taste on the front end -mild bitterness on the backend.... you can still enjoy the taste 30 seconds after you swallow. This would be a great beer on a hot day - overlooking the ocean! Mouthfeel - perfect - not too light - not too heavy. It suits the gravitas of the flavor. Overall, I am with Beeraphernalia's opinion - don't buy this beer - so I can buy it instead!!!!

Got this during a recent holiday visit to Cincinnati, the NE IPA has yet to be big in Texas. Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Orange-yello color like fresh squeezed orange juice. Small white head and decent lacing. The smell was pleasantly fragrant, again like fresh squeezed orange juice. The taste was incredibly citrusy, mainly orange and grapefruit, but some lemon as well. Enjoyed it very much!

This one hits all the right notes for a Brooklyn based brewery making a NE style IPA; looks lovely and like grapefruit juice, smells like grapefruit and lemon zest, then it slides across the tongue with nice bitterness, fizzy carbonation and a ton of citrus pop. The flavor is a mix of grapefruit, lemon zest, souring orange juice, tart green apple, dank citrus hops, light piney notes, and then it shifts to coriander, peppery spices, biscuit, dry floral hops, chalky cracked wheat, dry flowers, tea leaf, earthy notes and a trailing caramel or graham cracker sweetness. Drinks real easy and completely hides the 7% ABV. Nice ET offering here.

16oz can dated 6/19/17= a little over 2 weeks.

Pours like orange juice. Cloudy, essentially opaque, and deep orange. Foamy 1.5 finger head with huge retention. Great lacing follows.

Smells like oranges, melons, and other tropical fruits. Lots of fruit intermingled with hops.

Taste is very orange juice like. Tons of citrus. Relatively mild on the bitterness, but it definitely comes through in the aftertaste.

Feel is medium-heavy. High carbonation. Definitely easy drinking for 7%. Drinks more like 5%.

Overall a good representation of the style. A little too mellow in terms of flavor but very drinkable.

With a little influence from the haze craze and a little more from west coast, the different ideologies about IPA converge with Evil Twin's juicy, foggy, bitter and dry IPA. Its a beer with a restless soul, simply wondering about the hopscape of beer.

Lost Souls strikes the senses immediately with a radiant citrus and tropical tandem. While the nose is chocked full of branch ripe fruit, it also comes with light herb and spruce. Brightly colored with orange and peach hues, the frothy ale carries a nearly turbid haze to precede a succulently sweet malt taste of tropical fruit juice, honey, simple syrups and light caramel.

As the ale begins to drop its biscuity sweet character, a hint of marmalade rounds on the middle palate before the bitterness and dryness of hops set in. Tangerine, red grapefruit, pineapple, mango and peach all swirl about the tastebuds, washing them in all things creamsicle, tropical punch and sherbet. Yet, the beer still manages to dry beautifully to a smooth but assertive bitterness laced with citrus peel, pine needles and a medley of chive-like herbs.

Medium bodied but trending dry, drinkable and ultimately refreshing, the beer does a remarkable job of retaining hop aromas, flavors and gullet gripping bitterness without even a hint of astringency, burn or bite. Lost Souls may be finding its way by bringing the San Diego bitterness and dryness to the juicy and fruity taste of New England styled ales.

taste: Tropical citrus juice. A slight bitterness in the finish but mostly an easy drinking, juicy IPA.

Batch 1 on the bottom of the can.
My can pours a cloudy yellow with an inch of foam. There's some spotty lacing.
The smell is diverse and complex. Initially with quick whiffs I get mostly grapefruit. Slowing things down, I notice some pine, pineapple, mango, oranges..very fruity IPA indeed!
Taste wise, grapefruit and oranges take the forefront with the pine etc being supporting players. That will probably change as the beer warms up. And they do.
This is a lovely drop of an IPA and I am glad that I got to try it. Thanks Brewiety

A: Pours a super murky pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy bright white head that quickly reduces to a couple of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of tropical/passionfruit, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, and stone fruit/peaches over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit malts with a light amount of caramel + simple syrup + honey sweetness.

T: Upfront there is a just shy of moderate flavor of biscuit malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel + simple syrup + honey sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/passionfruit, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, and stone fruit/peaches which impart almost no perceptible bitterness and leaves a lingering fruity hoppiness in the finish.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially crisp with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: A really easy to drink and enjoyable NE IPA - fruity and juicy with a minimal amount of bitterness. Alcohol is extremely well hidden and I could easily have a couple of these.

A: The beer is a touch hazy light yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and lost of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of passionfruit and are present in the nose along with notes of peaches.
T: The taste follows the smell and is packed with lots of fruity flavors of passionfruit, peaches and green grapes.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer doesn't have the bite and crispness compared to IPAs but has very interesting aromas and flavors of a variety of fruits. I really enjoyed it.

Evil twin finally made an unfiltered juice bomb.
L- cloudy and opaque, milky orange. looks delicious!
S&T- papaya, orange, melon. Balanced, juicy, no bitterness or heat. Incredible package store beer!
F - it's got that heavy, thick feel similar to the top craft breweries in the NE. This ones definitely gonna be in my main rotation.
O- evil twin won me over with this one. His previous beers I've tried have all been good but very experimental and avant garde, there was usually one or two things weird about them. But this one he has really outdone himself, a true NEIPA juice bomb right in your package store. I got 8 more earlier today for the beer fridge.

Pours an opaque pale yellow-orange with a finger and a half of white head. Head retention is good, with good lacing left behind. Aroma is orange, papaya, mango, and melon. Tropical citrus notes really pop. Flavor profile is mango, papaya, and melon. Flavor profile doesn't quite pop as much as the aroma, but it's still smooth and well balanced. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a semi-velvety, fine-grainy texture. Overall, the aroma sells the beer well with huge notes of tropical fruits while notes fall a little flat in the flavor profile. It's a well balanced and crafted beer.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

Very hazy, juicy brew with big peach and orange flavors and a nice bitter bite at the end. Body is on the light side of medium with medium carbonation. Fits the new NE IPA style well.
