DDH 9% IIPA is by far the most hopped beer we have ever done. 5.6 lbs/bbl of mostly Galaxy and Citra with a touch of Amarillo and Simcoe.

This is an excellent AIPA for several reasons: it is unique and over the top; it is truly beautiful in the glass; and it is very good at disguising the alcohol.
It pours to a gorgeous bright yellow with perfect head and lacing. The aroma is a first rate funkiness from hops and who knows what going bad (ass). The taste is somewhat subdued - subtle and light (almost, but not really). There is no boozy aftertaste or heaviness or malty overtone. Truly a nice, pleasant, not-too-hard-to-drink treat.
Highly recommended.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color—just a little too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that slowly died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberry and lime citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of grapefruit and hints of piney hops towards the finish. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has a heavy dose of hops, which is particularly noticeable in the taste, but it is remarkably drinkable considering its strength and hides any traces of alcohol from the taste.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, grapefruit, mango and caramel. So much citrus, grapefruit, mango and pineapple. Nice toasted caramel finish.
