Sour IPA.
Did you also like Sour Bikini - a light bodied sour pale ale? This is Nasty Trunks - a more full-bodied India Pale Ale. Expect bigger muscles, more bitterness, a beer that is desperate for attention - in other words such a nasty pair of trunks.

L: hazy yellow with a slight lean to gold filled with streams of moderately fast rising bubbles under a 2" white foam cap with fair retention
S: smells like over ripe fruit, citrus, tropical fruit, melon and a trace of spice
T: Tart fruit, citrus and lemon lightly spiced with traces of anise or cardamom lead the flavors
F: medium light body with medium high carbonation
O: big flavored beer balances tart, hop flavors and lactose to achieve a pleasant, refreshing drink

So to start - not found a love for sours - that said I could drink this again. Pours out a somewhat cloudy pale golden with one and a half fingers of foamy white head. Initial aroma of piney hops but as head dissipates more sour/sweet citrus juice smell - less appealing.
Taste is more pleasing hoppy sour citrus - muted lemony hops up front but then finishes with tart and sour. Sharp and hoppy all at once - easy drinking. Pretty good.

This feels almost more of a sour wit than an IPA. The hops in the smell didn't seem to make it to the taste. Not to say this is a bad beer just not really a good IPA.

16oz can - once again, I believe that something gets lost in translation with the marketing blurb.
This beer pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and somewhat fizzy bone-white head, which leaves a bit of random soapscum lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, some funky milkiness, muddled tropical fruit, ethereal domestic citrus rind, and some tame earthy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, orange, white grapefruit, and lemon citrus peel, a faint lactose sourness, ephemeral yeast, and more understated leafy, weedy, and grassy hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly active in its palate-pinging frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and generally smooth, with nothing really getting in the way of a swell time here, surprisingly. It finishes off-dry, the malt and mixed fruitiness carrying the lingering day.
Overall - weirdly enough, this comes off as neither a sour ale, nor an IPA, but rather a plain Jane grainy pain in the proverbial arse, as it were. Quite boring in its bearing, I am getting tired of trying to describe something that seems to defy the very concept.
