Can from Savy Cellar June 2018

Holy cow.. the nose... it hits you like a Mack truck of grass clippings, citrus, weed, and female unmentionables. Dank and stank. Pours a hazy yellow with a tinge of orange. Heavy lacing froths down the side. Super refreshing, pungent, resiny hop oils on the pallet. Would appeal to seasoned hop forward beer fan and a newbie. What a cool beer, combining the NE style and old school west coast IPA. Love it.

16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a hazy golden orange color with a one-finger creamy white head that has great retention after the pour

S- juicy citrus hops on the nose; plenty of grapefruit, tangerine, as well as some tropical notes of mango, pineapple and passionfruit. Clean underlying malt

T- zesty citrus hops dominate up front, with notes of grapefruit and tangerine, followed by a big mango note, as well as ripe melon. The finish gives more citrus zest with a hint of grass on the linger

M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

O- solid NE style IPA with juicy citrus throughout

Light gold hazy body, big white head that trailed laces down the glass... Bright and sharp fruit profile - lots of orange and lemon and pineapple and grapefruit, with notes of lime and mango... Blurry tropical impressions underscore high points most decidedly citric and zesty... Moderately sweet, as if lightly honeyed, with but a mild bitterness... No canning date, but presumably sometime this month... Brewed by Dorchester Brewing in Boston...

sure looks like a new england style ipa, despite the name. hazy from the can with a fast rising and falling head, and a pale washed out straw color to it, no visible sediment, but this is anything but clear. the aroma is killer, mandarin oranges from the can, floral freshness, and fresh squeezed orange juice, really about as close to it as beer gets. the flavor is interesting, some bitterness which is nice, but also this sort of over the top fragrant perfume element right in the center of the flavor thats a little soapy and off putting to me, like spray deodorant or something, it almost makes me gag, reflexively, not because its offensive, if that makes sense, the fresh aspect of the nose turned a little chemical when its in my mouth, a weird sensation, but im more in tune with it each sip i take. still tons of citrus, mandarin and tangerine, maybe some passion fruit too, sweet for a second even with a vanilla accent to it from something in the malt. doesnt drink strong as it is at all which is cool, and i find this pleasant and interesting as they go, one that stands out from the increasingly samey series of long named hazy hoppy cans evil twin has been puking out lately. not enough carbonation, still really weird with that strange chemical center, and i couldnt drink a ton of this, but i found it enjoyable and unique for sure. maybe better in the morning than as a night cap...

Citrus, earthy, pineapple. Excellent beer from look to finish. Excellent hoppy finish.

This hazy yellow-orange can pour is capped by 1 cm of fluff. The aroma is light and citrusy. The flavor is tangerine juice and a bit of mango with some malt presence, but a medium hop bitterness dominates.

Undated can (I wish they'd date-stamp at least the IPAs) into pint glass. Pours a hazy golden amber with a decent off-white head that dissipates quickly. Initial impression is juicy citrus (orange, pineapple), mango, sweetened by honey or caramel. Mouthfeel is nice and juicy; carbonation is perfect. Finish is smooth and somewhat sweet.
An excellent example of a NEIPA. The only thing I would change is to reduce the sweetness somewhat.

16oz can poured into stemless wine glass. Can bottom inked with:
"Batch ETCC1-AH
5765"

L: Pours a nice tangerine orange, slightly more carbed than the Aslin cans I'm used to. Tiny bit of floaties by the time I finished the can

S/T: Candied oranges, powder sugar, it's not sweet but very confectionary.

F: Lighter than I expected considering the abv. Fairly creamy, not particularly carbonated (lost all the bubbles on the pour, maybe).

All in all a pretty good beer. I'm inferring from this site and other that this is about 2 months old. Frankly at $20/ 4x16oz, we more than deserve a can date. Not sure I'd purchase again unless that's rectified.
