Pours black as dirty oil. Chocolate malt colored two finger head. Moderate lacing. Faint aroma of caramel, brown sugar, old coffee, and licorice. Sweet molasses, caramel, coffee and black licorice flavors. Slight bitterness lingers. Medium body and light carbonation. Smooth with a slight oily feel. Boozy effect catches up quick at 12% ABV. Great brew. Of course, the more I sip, the more I like. Would buy again.

16 oz can from Brewers Haven. Oily black pour, patchy brown head. Aroma is roast malts with some sugary sweetness. Pecan flavors blossom in the taste, molasses, and some roasty bitterness. More bitter than sweet, smooth.

L: Jet black color, two finger brown head, messy lacing, no visible carbonation.

S: Sweet, chocolate, coffee, alcohol. Smells wonderful!

T: Sweet, chocolate, coffee, alcohol. Baaang!

F: Medium bodied, tons of flavor.

O: Another world class offering from Evil Twin.

Single from Bine and Vine in San Diego.
Pours a thick black with tight short lived reddish brown head.
Aroma caramel malt, toffee, molasses, a bit of chocolate, and vaguely nutty.
Taste follows with sweet chocolate malt, caramel, toffee, and rich molasses; as warmed a bit of nuttiness, finishes with a bittersweet note.
Medium full mouthfeel - surprisingly less rich than its namesake - smooth, sweet but not cloying. Quality imperial stout but do prefer the original Even More Jesus.

On tap at the Pour Taproom in Greenville SC.
Pours very dark brown with reddish-brown edges and a decent if a bit bubbly tan head.
Sweet aroma that's a bit like Pecan pie but certainly has more vanilla.
The rich flavor delivers some roasted pecan notes and is less sweet than the aroma suggests. The pecans linger on in the aftertaste.

16oz can into a Surly tulip.

A: DARK (gotta love that), with a dark brown head that returns with a quick swirl.

S: Dark molasses and pecans, walnuts. Dry and not entirely appetizing. Missing some of the decadent sweetness I associate with Pecan Pie.

T: Follows the nose, the nuttiness hits you first and twists into a dryness. Molasses sweetness follows - caramel as well? Again, missing that "desserty" character that I want.

MF: Medium-to-full bodied but drying.

O: Wouldn't search this one out again, didn't hit the notes that I was hoping it would. Yes - it tastes like Pecans. No - it doesn't taste like Pecan Pie. But overall, not bad.

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size brown foamy head with OK retention with light lacing. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt notes with some light hazelnut/pecan notes also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of sweet chocolate malt notes with some light hazelnut/pecan notes and heavy molasses notes can also be detected. Body is pretty full with oily texture and good carbonation with no real apparent alcohol notes. Not bad but a bit overwhelming.
