Bringing the fruitiness of lambic to the sour wheat flavor of gose, the brewers at Evil Twin use this tangy opportunity to teach us a few lessons. It's kinda like kindergarden for adults.

B is for Blueberry pours onto the senses with a pale mauve haze ahead of a scent of red sangria, berries and a tingle of acidity. Its taste of dark berries, grape and apple weave into a short malty sweetness of saltwater taffy and sourdough. Through it all, the beer's deep pink appearance is bubbly, billowing and foamy for a racy introduction

Fruit juices stretches across the middle palate with a fleeting sweetness and a sharp fruitiness that spans lemon, lime, crabapple, gooseberry, cranberry and blueberry. Dry and earthy, the blueberries release hints of wine, plum and cider all seeming of the musty vinous spice, the ale closes with a light peppery dryness and a return of musty wheat and sourdough to a satisfying end.

Medium light in body, the beer lingers with the juiciness of blueberry and citrus, but only briefly. Crisp, clean and utterly refreshing, the aftertaste is short but expels an afterthought of blueberry cobbler with dry rose wine and sparkling dark cider.

Umm, hmmmm, honestly, it taste like Coors Light Blueberry And you know what? Raul ain’t mad about that! It has that bland, Coors Light flavor and body with a hint of blueberry. That’s it. That’s all Raul got. Like his first quickie with his baby mama, Raul is in and gone!

The last beer I consumed from this brewery, I dumped down the drain. The beer is 45 degrees and served in a pint glass. The beer's hard pour produced a one finger foamy head with zero retention. The head was white with a pinkish hue. The color of the beer is a straw color with a reddish tinge. The clarity of the beer is hazy. I suspect the yeast is causing a bit of haziness. The beer does present with effervescence on the sides of the glass.

The beer's aromas are berry, salt, yeast, wheat, and toasted malt.

The beer's flavors are salt, berries, yeast, grass, and toasted malt.

The mouthfeel of the beer is sharp and fizzy.

The body of the beer is low, high carbonation, and light finish.

The gose is a good beer. The flavors are atypical of this style. I would not go and hunt this beer again but would drink if given to me.

The beer pours out a hazy light purple/dark pink color, with 1 finger of light pink head-------------- the aromas are of funky over ripe fruit, tart blue berry, wheat bread, lemon and salt----------- the flavors are of tart lemon, wheat bread, salinity, lesser blueberry, and some funky over ripe fruit, the beer has a thin mouthfeel with a dry acidic finish--------------- overall this beer was good wish I picked up on more of the blueberry and had lesser of the funky over ripe fruit, it was still tasty and refreshing though

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours moderate hazy reddish pink/purple color with a 1-2 finger dense light pink head with good retention that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, sea salt, coriander, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, salt/spice, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, sea salt, coriander, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, sea salt, coriander, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, salt/spice, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly saline, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent gose. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, salt/spice, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Great balance between Lacto, fruit, salt, and pale/wheat malts; no overly salty or lactic. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

this latest brew from evil twin is a good one, lavender or rose colored, soft pinkish purple from the can with a fizzy soda sort of head and even some dark blue chunks that looks like real blueberry remains in here at the end, pretty cool. the aroma is nice, tangy real blueberry and less sourness than i ever got in the apricot one. the faintest cheesiness to the lacto here, but cleaner than other sours ive had from them of late, and complimentary to the earthy blueberry, which smells natural to me here. oddly desserty too, slightly cooked, trace vanilla. the flavor is ice, quenching at first when its ice cold with a really pronounced natural blueberry character, which is hard to get in a beer and they have done it well here. i really like the tang on it, not too acidic to be really drinkable but puckery enough to make it refreshing like a lemonade. lots of character to the sour profile too, and complimentary to the fruit. high carbonation has it drinking like a soda pop, but some pleasantly round wheaty body keeps it feeling full enough to be beer. nice use of the blueberry, this is really flavorful, and if you like the style, you will like this beer. less salt than a lot of these have, but it seems unneeded to me with the flavorful fruit and yeast. nice for spring!

Poured 12oz bottle into a Weizen glass. Color is very magenta with a 2 finger fizzy white head that leaves some spotty lacing on my glass. Aroma is very tart with berry notes, specifically blueberry, and hints of lemon. Flavor really hits with a tartness of blueberry juice and finishes with tart lemon and a touch of saline. Feel is light bodied with prickly carbonation, quite refreshing. Seems more like a very tart Berliner than a Gose. Could use a bit more salt and some blueberry flavor, but it is refreshing.
