Shared can at local tasting. Very dark brown to black colour. Aroma of cold coffee and roast malts. Sweet flavour, loads of molasses and cold coffee. Not a favourite of mine.

Very nice coffee stout.
Poured into a pint glass, this was a dark brew with a thick tan head that was slow to emerge.
Aroma was malty and sweet.
Flavor was robust with coffee, vanilla and spice. Sweet but not cloying.
Feel was medium in thickness...though it would be heavier.
Overall excellent coffee stout. Amongst the best I have had if this style.

I served this as a desert beer at a dinner party of non beer drinkers and it was a big hit. I find this is a great way to get wine drinkers to begin to look at beer in a different light. I have them swirl it, smell the nose, roll it around their tongues, all of which they are used to doing with wine.. It's great to watch the light go on and their faces light up.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 6-7-19 for $7.99. No canning date; consumed on 8-1-19.
Beer poured black with a really nice tan head that has some pretty good hang time.
Nose is a very nice blend of coffee and vanilla and mildly roasted malts.
Taste brings a malt and coffee base flavor with the vanilla and nutmeg adjuncts parlayed in with a very effective touch. Hopping is sufficient as between that and the coffee the sweetness of the malts and vanilla is balanced very well.
Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and very smooth.
Overall i have to believe this is the best impy stout i have had from Evil Twin. Recommend it highly if you enjoy the described adjuncts in your stout!

Eviltwin Irish-ish Coffee Stout, 10.3% ABV. Pours black, with a 1.24 finger brown head that left tons of foamy lacing. Nose is roast malt and lactose. Taste is roast malt, milk, oak, coffee, vanilla and nutmeg, with moderate bitterness. Nutmeg aftertaste lingers. Decent mouthfeel, if a bit over-carbonated. Overall excellent.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A good, but not great aroma of coffee, malt, lactose, vanilla, and spices.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of malt (present throughout), some coffee (a good shot), a fair bit of lactose (too much), a chalky quality, a hint of vanilla, and a little nutmeg. A solid, but uneven, flavor. Like a lot of beers that use lactose, it can either be a help or a hinderance (it's the latter here). It creates a chalky quality that's grating. Still, not bad.
F:A good amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This isn't a bad beer, but is certainly uneven. Worth a look, though.

L: Dark chocolate brown to black and a tan one finger head with good retention and excellent lacing.
S: Coffee, vanilla, oak, and nutmeg.
T: Heavy lactose and dark malts pervade. Coffee, oak, and some vanilla, and nutmeg notes.
F: Medium body with good carbonation, a tad powdery.
O: Not perfect but highly repeatable.

Very dark coffee color, almost black, with a modest foamy tan head that manages just a bit of lacing.
The aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee and vanilla with a hint of spice.
The taste is dark malt, coffee, vanilla, lactose and nutmeg, slightly sweet.
It is medium/full bodied and very creamy smooth.
Overall, this is a very enjoyable stout, well worth a try.
