Love that we can get Evil Twin in SA now. Keep exporting your craft beers to TX, please!

Poured into a barrel pint glass, this beer is an opaque straw color. Cloudy with some visible sediment. A two finger head slowly dissipates with decent lace. The nose on this is quite nice. Lemon, coriander, apple, pear, faint hops. The taste follows suit, with a nice summery light fruit flavor up front, followed by a strong citrus taste blended with spices. Dry, light hoppy finish. Very clean, crisp mouthfeel.

Overall, this is a fine beer. I enjoy saisons and this is a really nice example of the style. The higher ABV is hardly noticeable here, as everything is really evenly proportioned. Not a boozy 7% beer at all. I may not drink much more of this during the winter, but I'll be happy to revisit this in the springtime when the weather warms up a bit. Quite tasty.

12 oz bottle

Pours hazed yellowy lighter amber, sturdy lite khaki head, last and gets all frothy. Leaves ample fine lace on the glass

Earthy nose with some minty and peppery spice tagging along

Flavorful and complex, with more earth, pepper, green pepper, bubble gum, mint.

Delicious. Well worth seeking out and savoring

Fruity nose, primarily orange peel and light fruit with a touch of bacon and smoke.
Pours clear gold under a ½” finely bubbled foam cap that descends to a thick film.
Light malt with orange peel and spice recede to a slight astringent note from the spice accented by bitter citrus rind hops that linger into the after taste.
Effervescent, fairly light, refreshing.

Pours a light golden with a thick, creamy snow-white cap.

Smells awesome, bright, fresh hops, citrus and stone fruit aromas. Maybe not as funky as most traditional Saisons. It almost has a pilsner nose, which to some purists may be off-putting, but not me.

Flavors are smooth, very fresh and light. It is perhaps a little light on flavors, but as a subtle beer it goes a long way. The finish is long, slightly bitter/dry and retains some of the fruit.

Very nice beer, a little too light for a Saison, but because it is so tasty, I am not going to split hairs about being true to style. It was perfect with a Thai dinner.

22 oz bottle, poured into a goblet

Appearance: Pours a beautiful, opaque, golden, yellow color, speckled with some peach and orange highlights and a finger and a half of white-colored head that quickly dissolved away into a lacing of foam that completely covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Wow! Strong aromas of toasted malt and wheat, bready and bright, along with tons of Belgian yeast, which impart notes of black pepper, coriander, saffron, cardamom, and parsley. There’s also aromas of candied sugar, lemon and orange zest and pith. Finally, there’s lots of floral notes like freshly cut grass, clover and honeysuckle. Inviting and delicious!

Taste: Wow! Exactly like the aroma. Strong flavors of toasted malt and wheat, along with tons of Belgian yeast, which impart flavors of black pepper, coriander, saffron, cardamom, and parsley. There’s also flavors of candied sugar and honey-like sweetness, some citrus notes of lemon and orange zest, and a touch fruit, like peaches and apricots. There’s also lots of floral notes like freshly cut grass, clover and honeysuckle as well, and a touch of clove, ginger and banana, but not a lot, just a kiss of them to let you know that they’re there. Inviting and delicious!

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, crisp and effervescent as there is quite a bit of carbonation to tickle the taste buds. With an ABV of 7%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is an excellent, excellent farmhouse-style ale! Malty, fruity, funky, spicy, citrusy, floral and crisp. Highly recommended!
