A. This ale pours a light copper to moderate straw appearance with a coarse bubble egg shell head that quickly retreats to a coarse rim. Excellent laces.

S. Big time barn house funk. Very typical saison yeast. Biscuits, bubble gum, and light malts.

T. The palette cones across with heavy barn house funk, yeast, and a significant malt presence. Certainly a good amount of biscuits and bubble gum. Minor notes of straw, dusty grain, and hops.

M. Coarse carbonation, moderate body, moderate smoothness.

O. This is a moderate ale. Very typical of the style. Certainly recommended. I will have this again when in the mood for a farmhouse ale or saison.

12 oz bottle

Pours hazed yellowy lighter amber, sturdy lite khaki head, last and gets all frothy. Leaves ample fine lace on the glass

Earthy nose with some minty and peppery spice tagging along

Flavorful and complex, with more earth, pepper, green pepper, bubble gum, mint.

Delicious. Well worth seeking out and savoring

Fruity nose, primarily orange peel and light fruit with a touch of bacon and smoke.
Pours clear gold under a ½” finely bubbled foam cap that descends to a thick film.
Light malt with orange peel and spice recede to a slight astringent note from the spice accented by bitter citrus rind hops that linger into the after taste.
Effervescent, fairly light, refreshing.

Pours a light golden with a thick, creamy snow-white cap.

Smells awesome, bright, fresh hops, citrus and stone fruit aromas. Maybe not as funky as most traditional Saisons. It almost has a pilsner nose, which to some purists may be off-putting, but not me.

Flavors are smooth, very fresh and light. It is perhaps a little light on flavors, but as a subtle beer it goes a long way. The finish is long, slightly bitter/dry and retains some of the fruit.

Very nice beer, a little too light for a Saison, but because it is so tasty, I am not going to split hairs about being true to style. It was perfect with a Thai dinner.

22 oz bottle, poured into a goblet

Appearance: Pours a beautiful, opaque, golden, yellow color, speckled with some peach and orange highlights and a finger and a half of white-colored head that quickly dissolved away into a lacing of foam that completely covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Wow! Strong aromas of toasted malt and wheat, bready and bright, along with tons of Belgian yeast, which impart notes of black pepper, coriander, saffron, cardamom, and parsley. There’s also aromas of candied sugar, lemon and orange zest and pith. Finally, there’s lots of floral notes like freshly cut grass, clover and honeysuckle. Inviting and delicious!

Taste: Wow! Exactly like the aroma. Strong flavors of toasted malt and wheat, along with tons of Belgian yeast, which impart flavors of black pepper, coriander, saffron, cardamom, and parsley. There’s also flavors of candied sugar and honey-like sweetness, some citrus notes of lemon and orange zest, and a touch fruit, like peaches and apricots. There’s also lots of floral notes like freshly cut grass, clover and honeysuckle as well, and a touch of clove, ginger and banana, but not a lot, just a kiss of them to let you know that they’re there. Inviting and delicious!

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, crisp and effervescent as there is quite a bit of carbonation to tickle the taste buds. With an ABV of 7%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is an excellent, excellent farmhouse-style ale! Malty, fruity, funky, spicy, citrusy, floral and crisp. Highly recommended!
