Can: a rubbish-looking multi-coloured 355mL can.

Appearance: dark yellow in colour with a limited carbonation. A disappointingly limited head, but great lacing.

Aroma: biting hops on the nose, with some honey characters backing up. Smells good.

Taste: strong pine and grapefruit hops - almost comes across as a an IPA rather than a Pale Ale. Not unpleasant at all.

Aftertaste: the hop bitterness remains for a time - not too complex in flavour though.

Mouth feel: quite sharp in feel, but not overpowering. The higher carbonation and plenty of hops combines with the light body in the mouth, very drinkable.

Overall: really not worth the price. A case of 24 x 355mL cans is over AU$110 (2013 - price holds it back.

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Enjoyed at PiBar - Lausanne.

A: Pours a slightly cloudy dark yellow to orange color forming a white bubbled and aired head. Low retention and some spotty and lingering lacings left in the glass

S: Quite fruity and herbal in the nose. The fresh hops gives it a pinny and refreshing small. Notes of pineapple and mango. Sweet grains and caramel malts backbone

T: Slightly sweet malts upfront. Herbal hops and notes of tropical fruits like oranges, grapefruits, mango, passion fruit... Some caramel malts. Good bitterness which is in the limit of an APA

M: Medium body. Medium to low carbonation. Herby hops aftertaste

O: Good drinkability. My first Evil Twin, good surprise

Presented at BBF- Barcelona Beer Festival- & dedicated to EL RAVAL a popular neighborhood in Barcelona. On-tap.Pint glass.Enjoyed on janĀ“12.Bright gold color.Foggy.Ivory froth.Copious creamy crown.Discreet appearance, nevertheless, it conceals a great potential of flavors and aromas. In nose, intense piney aroma, subtle herbaceous tone and citric notes from American hops. In mouth, slightly malt flavor followed by soft and gentle bitterness. A deployment of cover fruity -tropical fruits and ripe apricots- liberates an underlying sweetness. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Hops generate an encircling, clean bitterness, moderate intensity but heavy flavor, which remains until the dry & resiny finish. Fruity aftertaste leaves a refreshing sensation. An excellent spot of the APA Style APA with very good balanced aromas and full flavors.
